Yes, that worked so well for Chelsea. Those long contracts are going to cripple them in a few years.
But, yes, as @Maverick79 said. It’s not as easy as KSE funneling money into the club because UEFA aren’t going to allow another club to take the piss with FFP like City did. Unless we’re Barcelona and/or we bribe them.
I’ve been looking at Sesko a lot over the last week and the more I look at him, the more I am becoming convinced that he is our best bet when it comes to striker targets. I really like that he is willing to take a shot on from outside the box, that he doesn’t need to take a touch before taking a shot, and his height would be a real menace for most PL defences.
I don’t generally like comparing players to players from the past, but watching Sesko reminds me a little of Robin van Persie. The way he can turn and shoot and he also also has a powerful shot on him too.
I think we need to sign this guy!
I think something is happening with Sesko. The way the stories have gone from he’s not leaving until the summer to uncertainty suggests to me that something might be about to happen.
Maybe it’s just a vibes-based take but we’ll get him. Just hopefully this week and not in July.

Hopefully our striker next season…
I’m pretty confident this is the striker the club wants and are going to get, and that’s why we didn’t see an addition in January.
Which is not the same as saying I agree with that decision.

I think its wild how they effectively wrote two windows off to wait for him. Oh well hope it works out
I’m sure it will. Last time we waited for the right striker we wanted that long we got Chamakh. Good things come to those who wait.

Hope this guy is worth all the faff.
Sesko has a lot of potential. So far from the final product though.
Okay, you’ve got two options.
- Screw Sesko, we go big on Isak but he is the only first team upgrade we can afford.
- Get Sesko and strengthen the squad in 2 or 3 other positions to give us a better level of insurance against injuries and next season’s madcap red cards.
I’m option 2. Imagine spending £150m on a superstar only for Gabriel to give him a compound fracture in his first training session.
