Is it telling that Man City haven’t terminated his contract?
Guy has been accused of some proper heinous shit. Surprised City didn’t get rid of him ages ago.
They can afford the termination. And the damage to their “brand” surely outweighs that cost. So why haven’t they fucked him off already?
What if it turns out that he is found not guilty and the club terminated his contract? He is effectively suspended throughout the process.
Hard to have a problem with the club not playing him, not having him around the club and letting justice run it’s course.

Can see him being found not guilty especially after some of the stuff that’s come out of the court room so far.
Yeah sounds bad, but there isn’t anything wrong with his answer really. He was asked about Mendy’s character at work and he just described his experience with the player. He can’t take the case into consideration when answering that.

I think I also made a post saying that it’s not outrageous to assume he’s guilty based on the sheer number of charges. But also just wanted to wait until the trial was done before condemning him

Only 1% of reported rapes end in a conviction, so it’s not really a surprise.
I highly doubt 99% of accusers were lying, but it’s just a hard crime to prove because often the only witnesses are the two people involved.

Damn. Do they release court transcripts in the UK?
Having been involved in those types of prosecutions at my last job I can honestly say they are incredibly difficult to convince a jury beyond a reasonable doubt. The standard should be high, don’t get me wrong, but they are really tough cases.
