Basketball (NBA/ FIBA)

Dallas fucked by the refs shoulda beat the Clippers without Porzingis getting wrongly ejected :roll_eyes:

NBA refs are even worse than PL ones, how does KP get ejected for this in a playoff game, no less?

21 turnovers really stung also.

I actually forgot about Crowder and Iggy being with the Heat, they’re leading for now…

Edit : Buckets clutch on both ends, Heat lead the seris.

I can’t believe that the Bucks lost to the Magic.

Did exactly what we needed to do. Held the Blazers to 100 points and dame didn’t even have a good shooting night. I’m still pretty confident we will win this in 6 or so. No way we are shooting 17% from 3 and 35% overall again. Just need to hit open shots which we had a ton of. Danny Green and KCP let us down hard.

Dame is just unreal at the moment though, not a great shooting night as you said but still went 6-13 from 3.

I agree though I think you’ll still have too much for us in 6 or maybe 7.

I’m concerned that your lack of shooting from outside will cost you a championship though when push comes to shove, it’s not 5-32 bad but it’s still not fantastic.

The thing about the Lakers is that we were a top 2 defensive team in the league for the season. Highest fg% overall and middle of the road 3 point shooting team, which is fine cuz Green was shooting like 42% from there. But since we’ve entered the bubble we are the worst shooting team and look completely different. I’m only confident because I expect us to round into our previous form. Maybe it’s just not gonna happen. I was pretty sure the title was ours after we smashed the clips and bucs back to back in March but it’s been so long this is like a new season. Think we were coming in to perfect form back then to make a run into June, but maybe we are done :sob::sob:

btw the biggest difference I’ve seen has been our bigs. Dwight and Mcgee would have games where they went like 7 - 7 and had like 15 - 20 points which were all dunks and alley oops at the rim. That mostly came from LeBron setting them up but now the defense sags because we can’t make a shot from the outside lol. I dunno man we’ll see. Drop a couple three’s and it’s a different game. The amount of open looks LeBron creates and these guys missed tonight was just insanely frustrating.

Mavs tie the series, their bench’s contribution was immense, LAC rely too much on Kawhi.

Paul George had a stinker of a night, you’d expect him to bounce back.

Huge win for the Jazz against the Nuggets to level the series.

Philly is stinking it up. What else is new.

they call him Playoff P for a reason, man gets bodied by Joe Ingles. Paul George is notorious for not performing in the post season…

Clippers are supposed to have the best bench in the league too btw. They can score but the only problem I see is that Trez and Lou can’t play a lick of defense, complete liability.

Kind of sad for them. Ben Simmons has all the talent in the world but isn’t this his second major knee injury? That can derail a career really quick especially in basketball.

Yeah. I also think we’ve really lacked balance overall on the team. It’s why I really wanted to keep Butler. We need a new coach too imo.

It sounds like the injury isn’t too severe, and with his more slender build, here’s hoping he can come back stronger and remain injury free next season.

Lakers in transition are fun to watch—the bigs run the floor so well.

Davis having the bounce back game I expected, was surprised he went 8-24 game 1 given we don’t really have anyone to guard him.

He played well—issue in Game 1 for the Lakers was the supporting cast were pretty poor and Dwight picked up some silly fouls.

Lillard just hurt his finger, if that’s him done then this is over comfortably in 5.

The fact the Knicks got pick 8 in lottery is actually convincing me that the lottery is entirely rigged.

We’ve (yep) been the worst team the past decade, and not a pick 1 in sight…
