Basketball (NBA/ FIBA)

But they had a counter to that with Irving and Brunson before him. They had a solution for that by having two creators on the roster. I think his upcoming max is the reason for them to trade him. 345 million for five years for an injury prone player who doesn’t do everything the organisation wants him to do to keep his body healthy is a lot.

I think teams have gotten very cautious with that supermax anyway.

Jimmy Butler traded to the Warriors.

And signs new 2 year deal for 121m. Bucks also moving Middleton for Kyle Kuzma. OKC get Theis which is decent depth. Should be a lot more activity over the next 18 hours or so.

Brandon Ingram to the Raptors. Lakers get a big in Mark Williams for Knecht and Reddish and a FRP.

Lebron is putting up 24ppg, 9apg and 7rpg at 40 years old. He’s obviously not the same guy he was but those numbers are so impressive considering his age and amount of milage on his body.

No one denied his physicality…

Just wonder how Doncic get his triple doubles now.

Kyrie Irving tore his ACL.

Mavs can’t catch a break.

At the end Nico Harrison did Luka solid here.

They shouldn’t. The whole trade is a disgrace. Just because they dont want to pay the supermax.

Tanking the franchise so they can move to Vegas.

Denver Nuggets have fired their coach.

Another coach with a winning record getting booted.

Absolute madness. One of the best coaches in the league. How about blaming their shitty fucking front office for adding nothing around Jokic after the title.

Edit: just seen they fired Booth too so I kinda take part of that back lol

Giving Murray and Porter Jr. those contracts at the time was a mistake. Everybody knew at that time that those contracts weren’t right.

Definitely not great deals now but I think you swallow that as a team/fan if it means you get a title.

Even with the GM being booted this is kind of crazy. It’s just silly you can win most of the games and get booted.

But Murray has gotten his extension after the title. At the time there were already doubts if this was a good thing to do.

@RockyMaivia just looking at their record it seems fine but they are not good as a team if you get what I mean. They are where they are because Jokic is having an incredible season, but I don’t think they are good enough too win it all. With them all being in their primes you would expect a 55±win season I reckon.

Suns have fired Mike Budenholzer. Third coach fired in 3 years.

Classic case of a new owner thinking he can outsmart the league with his big brain

This fella is going to have the toughest off-season a GM has ever seen.

Good luck because this plan is already in tatters.

Only half a dozen miles away from the arena as the “croath lies” (to quote Kermode) but haven’t been able to get out to watch a Clippers game this season. Will be happy enough watching games on the telly though. Should be a decent matchup vs the Nuggz. Joker is my fave non-Clipper, and won’t be as pissed off if we go out against them compared to some other teams.
