Arsène Wenger

You surely mean people… Just look at someone @Persona, @Phoebica or @JakeyBoy …it’s the same people that voted for Brexit. They can’t be that smart.

Well I’m both a person AND a journalist, so do I get bonus points? I most definitely did not vote for Brexit though.

“We understand how fans are not happy, neither are we. But as for critics, there are no less grateful persons in football than fans and ex-players.

“Arsenal’s strength in the past 20 years has been Wenger. It is not all about results, but also the business part of the club that matters.”

Fuck off Boro.

He says, " there are no less grateful persons in football than fans ," and then goes on to say, " It is not all about results, but also the business part of the club that matters.”

He seems to forget it the supporters that pay Wenger’s 8m a season wages and that our supporters have been some of the most tolerant considering our lack of trophies and our appalling transfer policy.

He also doesn’t seem to understand that most supporters could’t care less about the business part of the club.
What they want to see is exciting football, top quality signings and a manager that doesn’t dither so much and blame all his repeated mistakes on everyone else.

There are no prizes for the best financially run club.

I always thought football was a results business… The plot has definately been lost.when i go football now, i will ask, how much did we make today? Car boot Arsenal.

If every fan suddenly stopped buying tickets or merch, I wonder how successful the ‘business’ would be.

Please, please!

Imagine after he said this…‘well iiiiiiiii ummmm signed a new contract because i feel i have the mental strength to get through this and i feel we can come back stronger’

Idea! He is not getting us in the C.L. to come back to it next sason! Genius! :mustafi:

I think the rebuilding job he would have to do is far too much for him.
It would be admitting that all the players he has stuck with in recent seasons simply aren’t good enough, and that his lack of top quality signings was the wrong decision.

The fact is that we are in the mess we’re in because of his repeated mistakes, and he isn’t the person to get us out of it.
We have too many players that aren’t going to get any better, too many that aren’t good enough and not enough top quality players.

How could anyone trust him to overhaul the squad?
He was the person who insisted we have the quality and mental strength, and it’s clear we have neither.

He’s gonna quit, He’s gonna quit, He’s quitting, Wenger’s gonna quit!

:gunnersaurus:

That’s surely the penultimate piece of the puzzle in place now. Pre-empting the announcement.

If you think about it, a couple of weeks now forms the perfect window for the announcement. Boost for players (some of them?!) and fans alike going into the semi final. Either that or i myself have finally lost the plot

The first NFL game at his Arsenal financed stadium in LA is only a few months away. There’s no time for football right now.
