You should seriously start checking the facts before throwing abuse.

If you think Sanchez was bought as a replacement for Giroud, why did it take more than two seasons playing as a wide midfielder before he was tried as a striker?

Even Wenger wouldn’t say he was bought as a striker.

it doesnt matter what he was bought as in all honesty. The fact is, the phrase ‘we havent replaced rvp’ while you list EVERY forward barring him is absurd.

He occupies RVP’s role therefore he is at long last officially replaced! which is all redundant anyway since he will be off soon.

Of course he wasn’t. It’s not even a debate worth entertaining anymore.

it is, because he keeps saying RVP hasnt been replaced, when he has.

First, Sanchez was bought as a wide player.
Second, Sanchez still hasn’t locked up the striker position and have to share with Giroud. Because Giroud’s lackluster performance and change of strategies, Sanchez was moved to the striker position, temporarily. In certain situations, he would still play as a wide player. Did RVP have to make way for others when he was the starting striker??
Overall, he logged in much more playing time as a wide player than as a striker.
Sanchez leads the league in goal (just one season) is not a relevant supporting fact to say he is RVP’s replacement.

it doesnt matter what he was bought at.
RVP was used as a winger prior to being a striker, as was Henry.

the fact as, as we are today, RVP has been ‘adequately’ replaced.

One day should be good to understand which player we needed to replace. Arsène hasn’t replaced the 11/12 van Persie (37 goals) or the overall van Persie?

Since the 2006, our top scorers have been:

06/07 - van Persie 13 [63 goals scored in the league]
07/08 - Adebayor 30 [74 goals scored in the league]
08/09 - van Persie 20 [68 goals scored in the league]
09/10 - Fabregas 19 [83 goals scored in the league]
10/11 - van Persie 22 [72 goals scored in the league]
11/12 - van Persie 37 [74 goals scored in the league]

after the departure of the dutchman

12/13 - Walcott 21 [72 goals scored in the league]
13/14 - Giroud 22 [68 goals scored in the league]
14/15 - Sanchez 25 [71 goals scored in the league]
15/16 - Giroud 24 [65 goals scored in the league]
16/17 - Sanchez 21 and counting [55 goals scored in the league and couting]

In his first three seasons van Persie played another role for us though. He was a shadow striker in Bergkamp’s old role. Logically his goal return was less during that period.

He hasn’t really been replaced though because when it counts Sanchez as CF falters.

Against the best teams more often than not he vacates his position and leaves the team without a focal point, also he has been moved to striker at the expense of having a quality winger in the team.

You can call it “adequate” but that’s all it is and the fact is we need more than that.

WIth the performance that Leicester has been having just a few games after claudio left i think letting AW go does not sound so bad.
We have a decent team to do slightly better, maybe if we let the old men go we can do better.

Wenger is the biggest peddler of fake news. You really can’t believe anything the guy says. He knows Boro leaving is going to fuel the Wenger leaving fire so whether he is or he isn’t going Wenger isn’t going to admit it.

GB journalists are stupid. They know Arsène since 1996 but still don’t know what is an intelligent question.
