One of the big problems is although 80% of fans know that we wont be a contender/ win anything of note under Wenger again most are content to get treated with contempt by the board/ Ownership of this club. The hierarchy know this so they have little to be concerned about.
Tbh I think Wenger and the club now know exactly what the fans think of the situation. I think the banners that have been shown up to now have been classy (as they can be) and thoughtful. This would just be an unnecessary low for the supporters that will serve no purpose.
Kroenke probably doesn’t even know what fixture we have this weekend, let alone that people are flying a protest banner over it
If Wenger knew exactly how majority of the fans felt and he loved the club as much as he says he does, he would have announced he’s standing down at seasons end already.
I think he’ll stand down this summer, purely because the tide has turned so much against him. It’s quite clear now that a majority of the fans do no want him to sign a contract extension. It was only a minority of fans in the past that wanted him gone. In 2014 he left it until after the Cup final, proobably because he knew that if we lst there would be no coming back.
I just would rather he announce it now, I think it would actually give the team a boost in the final 12 league games + FA cup. It would also stop all the protesting and help all the fans unite and rally behind him for these last couple of months.
Pathetic :gabriel:
??? fuck man. stop being obtuse
I hope he does it before the end of the season aswell. I have a feeling he’ll wait until the semi final of the cup, and potentially say his intentions if we get knocked out.
You stop droning on about Sanchez being bought as a striker then.
Im sorry that facts don’t support your whiney opinions.
Do you believe Wenger signed Sanchez to replace Giroud?
Wenger obvioualy signed him as a forward with a view to play as a striker.
He has half arsed it for sure, by buying ‘forwards’ and not specialist strikers. But he still made the signing.
IDB10 conviniently left him out because it makes all his moaning obsolete.
It took Wenger until his third season at Arsenal to play him as a striker so that makes any notion that he was signed as an RVP replacement redundant.
There have also been many occasions this season where Giroud and even occasionally Welbeck have started as the striker with Sanchez out wide.
We have not adequately replaced RVP yet.
we have adequately replaced him now though
No we haven’t. That’s an absolute fallacy.
The whole concept of ‘replacing RVP’ very simplistic way of thinking.
whys it a fallacy? he is league top goal scorer and our go to #1 striker right?
Don’t worry, it’ll be old news when we fail to replace Sanchez
Lads we still haven’t replaced Lehmann or Vieira either lol
