Arsène Wenger

Yeah, we all know he was bought to replace Giroud.

3K fucking hell :joy:

Clearly many people have more money than sense. Morons.

He flopped as a winger not as a striker. I’ve outlined my reasons why I think Lukaku won’t do well at a bigger club. A quicker Giroud with worse first touch and technique.

I’m in agreement. Never been a big Lukaku fan and happen to think he’s not good enough to play for a big club. He’s as frustrating as Giroud is. Statistically they’re very similar.

At 70million and I don’t think he’s much better than Giroud or Welbeck if at all. Lukaku is not a skillful footballer.

You’re like one of those supporters, and there were loads of them, who wanted Fellaini. ‘Solution to our defensive midfield problems and PL prove’ etc

Forget Lakaku for that sort of money, if you want to pay huge money we should have gone big for someone like Dybala. I’d happily have us offer 70 mill for someone like Mbappe in the summer.

This will only have the opposite effect, having people go back to supporting Wenger. How anyone of them can think that flying a fucking banner in the air is a good way to have Wenger quit is beyond me. These people could at least try to stay classy.

I still think Fellani and/or Schniderlinn would have done a decent job for us. And Lukaku would too. As i said previously if we can have Lukaku or nobody then I’ll take Lukaku please but yes, there are other players we could/should be aiming for at that price.

I’d take Lukaku too. Wouldn’t be my first choice but he’s an ungrade on nothing. He’s strong, fast, powerful and still pretty young.

Wenger did actually say last year that we had been looking at Lukaku when he was a youngster (another to add to the “I almost signed him” list), but he said that once Chelsea started sniffing around, we couldn’t compete

Not that I don’t agree with you, but how would the classy way look?

I didn’t want Fellaini but if it was a choice between him or sticking with Flamini or no one, which is what happened, then I would have had him, or Schneiderlin.

The same for the striker position.
My preferred player would be Aubameyang, who I’m sure we could have got a few seasons ago, or someone like Griezman or Cavani.
But if it was Lukaku or no one, then i would have Lukaku, but of course Wenger went with the tried and trusted getting no one route, which illustrates his lack of pro activeness in the transfer market, as well as his constant dithering.

If Lukaku can score freely with Everton, imagine what he could do with Ozil, Sanchez and Cazorla.
But because we didn’t bother getting a striker it looks like Ozil and Sanchez could leave and we will be out of the top four watching spurs take our CL place.

Still, Wenger knows best.

So Wenger has made the last 8 in 6 out of 19 attempts in the CL( with Arsenal), so to do what this bang average Leicester squad have done is some sort of special effort.

Not flying a fucking banner around on a plane would be a start. Put some creative thoughts into the chants and banners they use. I’m sure if they put more thought into their actions they could come up with ideas that on the one hand respects what Wenger has done for the club while at the same time makes it clear that it has to come to an end.

What about a creative banner on the plane.

Only if they make it worth our time by adding some fireworks and different colored balloons. Otherwise I’m not really interested.

Meh, you could send a registered letter and someone would complain that it wasn’t classy enough cos it was signed “kind regards” rather than yours sincerely. I really think a plane flying a banner is a fucking sad way to spend your hard earned cash but each to their own. It won’t have any effect.

Except that Giroud is clearly at any kind of peak he will experience as a player and Lukaku has plenty of time to improve and has been doing so.

I know you like Ibra but he’s been the epitome of wasteful this season, Lukaku for example has a superior minutes to goal ratio, conversion rate and shot accuracy percentage.

Lukaku is actually one of the most clinical strikers in Europe at the moment.

Really hoped we wouldn’t go down the aeroplane banner route, it was funny the first time it was ever done, but is now embarrassing and serves no purpose, seeing as the WOB move to oust Wenger must now be the most publicised anti-manager move in football history

Well exactly. Especially when these same fans complain about the cost of watching Arsenal.

It might work to be honest. Wenger could see the plane and think “I can’t manage a club where the fans are so completely moronic”
