When? Do you seriously think Mourinho would of sold to Wenger. We could buy him for 60-70m now yes, but that’d be a waste for someone with such a terrible technique and first touch

I think we need to get used to the fact that awkward players like Lukaku are going to go for 60 million+.
City payed 27 million + add ons for an 19-year old with 1-2 seasons experience.
I think we needed to get used to this like 5 years ago.

Clearest indication yet, as these two seem inseparable.
Still confident on my theory that Wenger has already decided to go but is holding fire from making it public, except to his inner circle.
Maybe he hoped this story wouldn’t attract too much media attention and slip below the radar, seeing as most coaches aren’t household names

Sane is a bit of a wonderkid with excellent technique, close control, first touch and pace. Lukaku has the pace and power but if he doesn’t have the technique now he never will.
I’d rather pay big money for Depay than Lukaku and switch him to a number 9.
I reckon it is also why Sanchez etc arent looking at signing up yet either …probably waiting to see who is coming in. Hope it is Allegri he looks like he is a decent coach.
Pay big money for somoene who flopped in their actual position in England and play them in another position instead of someone that has excelled and has a very good proven record and still only 23.

It’s amazing you put down a player like Lukaku as “a waste for someone with such a terrible technique and first touch,” yet tolerate Giroud, Sanogo, Welbeck, Chamakh, Park, Perez, and any other striker Wenger has bought in recent seasons to replace RVP.
This is why we’re in the mess we’re in.
Supporters like you will put up with anything Wenger does.
Are you really telling me Wenger couldn’t have bought Lukaku, or any other striker better than our assortment of adequate, but no where near world class strikers. we have accumulated, since we sold RVP?
