Arsène Wenger

There’s also only so much you can do with only one additional day of preparation. Better to let them rest and hope that they’ll be in better physical shape against Chelsea, instead of adding more training units just to tire them out.

Ok I reacted after being told without checking ,my mistake . I would have them in watching videos etc and making a game plan ,the thought of them skulking off baffled me so I’m glad I was wrong.

Club cheifs can get in the sea. :joy:

That just proves the limited ambition of the board and Kroenke.

If they can’t see the problem then it just shows how little they know about football and this club.

They say,
We are third in the league, still in the CL and have two world class players.
I would imagine the answer from most supporters to all those questions is, for how long?

I would also ask these idiots, to explain, “how we have never had it so good?”

Paying more, to get less, is not good.
They really haven’t got any idea.

There isn’t even a quote in that article. Just Crosses opinion it seems.

The question should be ‘why is the level we are at acceptable’.

Tbf it’s not really one of those opinions you’d really want to put your name under publicly and more something a journalist would hear through his sources. Not that it really makes a big difference though.

That being said, there should be really no surprise that the higher ups have a different perception on the situation as the common fan. They’re closer to the source and will know better than us what kind of dedication and work is done on a day to day basis.

I wasn’t expecting a quote from Sir Chips I was more so thinking he hasn’t even said “a source has said” kind of thing. I could have been clearer.

Replace ‘Arsenal top brass BAFFLED’ with ‘John Cross’ and you have your article as it was intended to be written.

Thanks to God, in our board there are good people and not fakes like AFTV and all the others who are happy when we lose.

Totally with him, anyone can be not happy and can’t follow the thoughts of Arsène and Arsenal, but the abuses are cowardly!

We bought Gabriel using this system… FAIL!!

Arsenal Board: “We beat Chelsea and drew with United. Progress! What more could they possibly want?!”

So we passed on KDB and Griezmann because of these metrics and managed to bag Gabriel?

Sounds about what I’d expect when you sign players because of what computers and analytics tell you rather than what your eye can clear see.

I’m surprised data is still so insignificant. Like Arsenal offering 4m dollars to buy a stat company, why aren’t other clubs offering 10m?

When clubs are turning over 400m and the wrong signing can cost you tens of millions and the right signing can make you tens of millions, I really thought more clubs would have more in-house teams like this which probably only cost a few million to run.

As a science this stuff is in it’s infancy but the formulas will improve and it’ll become vital.

That’s certainly how the article presented it but I have to imagine there was more to it than ‘computer says no’.
