Arsène Wenger

Definitely worth giving this a go. The current position isn’t really sustainable with VAR ruling out so many goals where the advantage is so negligible.

Looking forward to seeing the “If the offside rule hadn’t changed” table around this time next year.

Benefit of the doubt should always be with the attacker in offside.

We still would though, but instead of it being a hair slightly ahead of the defender, it’d be checking that the hair is completely ahead of the defender. The game moves fast, there will still be checking of position relative to when the ball was played.

I personally don’t have issue with the current system in terms of offside, it’s all the other stuff that is the problem e.g. fouls etc

Now that omegle is down, perhaps we will have more footballers.

Wenger talked a lot of shit before…

Do people think we’ll be making signings in January to bolster our title bid?

I’d like to see us bring in a goal machine, but that’s hard enough to do already, let alone in January. I think our best bet might be to try and strengthen in midfield if Partey continues to be irrelevant.

Have you heard the news about some tall Portuguese cunt from South London?

Who you got in mind? Palhinha floating your boat or are you more Douglas Luiz?

Think it’s one in one out in terms of major transfers. Not sure we have the FFP headroom that people probably hope we have.

Yeah, I read something about the Havertz transfer and attached price tag not helping us in terms of FFP.

What do you reckon constitutes major in terms of the fee? Anything in excess of £40m?

I wonder if he realizes how he’s becoming like the guy he once called a specialist in failure.
Life is funny, he landed in the exact same spot as him in the end.
:wenger2:
I guess to his credit he did admit he was jealous of what Arsene had at Arsenal when he retired.

Good on Jack. Imagine rating Klopp above Wenger in 2024. I’d get it if he was coming off that season they won the PL right after the CL after that there isn’t much to boast about.

Awful campaign as reigning champions, barely making Top 4 in the end because teams like West Ham and Leicester couldn’t go all the way.
A great season fighting on all fronts, won two cups against a struggling Chelsea side, got slapped by Madrid for the millionth time in the final and ultimately couldn’t beat City to the title.
They come back next season looking like shit again. Underwhelming campaigns in all competitions. Got slapped by Madrid in the CL yet again. Barely nicked a EL spot right in the end.
Next we arrive to this season. Great run from August to March, won another cup against a struggling Chelsea side, favourites to win the league, massive favourites to win EL, and eyeing for the quadruple again. Then one of the worst capitulations unfolds. Knocked out in the FA Cup by the worst Man Utd we’ve ever seen in the PL(they couldn’t beat them once this season), slapped by Atalanta in the EL, went from a 5 point lead in February to finishing 9 points off the top.

He’s the 5th best manager we’ve seen in the PL and he should be satisfied with that. Got no case to be over Pep, Wenger, Fergie and Mourinho.

Today is a good day for reflecting on classic Wengerisms like this.
