Do people usually have an issue with who plays in this pre season friendly? Or is it only when we’re in it?
Personally think the way it is now is fine anyway. I think it’s harder to finish second in the league than second in the FA Cup.

Pep saying some of his team aren’t ready for this match, suggesting he’s not happy with their pre-season effort and is managing fan’s expectations or he’s trying to lull us into a false sense of hope.

I think the best solution would be to play the Premier League winners against the Championship winners in the Communitiy Shield.
Or maybe the PL and the Bundesliga winners.
Although, yeah, maybe the Conference League winners make the most sense in the end

Easiest default is 2nd place when a team wins a double, makes sense to me.

For my entire life this is what has happened if a club does the league and FA cup double, this is the first time I’ve ever heard anyone have anything to say about it. But we do live in different times, there was no online culture in the nineties, so no clickbaiting and attention grabbing like there is these days (aside from the attention grabbing, back page headlines designed to shift papers, but this sort of take would never get that slot), when every shitcunt media pundit wants to go viral with their provocative hot take.
I guess you could give the slot to the league cup champion instead, but really, who gives a solitary fuck anyway?

Havertz as the new Xhaka looked feasible on paper but leaves us light defensively. That should be shelved unless we’re chasing a game imho
