He will start, along with TAA and Salah.
Is this bigger than the City game?
Lose this and the city game won’t matter… so yes.
I am not confident about this one. My worry is our propensity to concede cheap goals. If we do that against Liverpool, and if it’s an early one, that’ll be it. We’ll just be chasing the game and playing into their hands.
If we were at our best, with Martinelli, Saka and Ode firing, I’d be quite confident. Liverpool come into this one on the back of a great January and then there is the whole Klopp leaving thing to motivate them. Let’s see how we go.
Worried.
If we lose we go eight points behind Liverpool and they’re not even favourites to win the title.
With Man City having De Bruyne and Haaland and Salah back at Liverpool, they’ll both be stronger so losing this game means we’re out of the title race and a draw wouldn’t be much use either.
A win for us, especially after already beating Man City this season, would boost our confidence and would at least keep us challenging for the title.
All a win does is delay the inevitable - our squad is just way too thin and even Arteta came out and said the other day that we can’t rely on our youth like Liverpool can because they’re just not good enough.
I think you’re right, Man City are too strong, not just for us, but for every other PL team.
We could still keep up with Liverpool, if we beat them but if we don’t, we’re going for a top four place.
Even if we lose we are still on for winning the League whilst it is mathematically possible.
This is the most relevant we have been since 2008, yet people are still moaning like bitches. Some people are just impossible to satisfy i guess. Its a little sad.
so what if it does because we live in the moment !
So many all over the internet seem to be going L’pool win or a draw. I just feel things have to finally go our way. We’ve been outplaying them and losing because we can’t finish. Gotta have faith the players will step up big time and not give the ref the opportunity to decide the game. I don’t think we’ll keep a CS, but we gotta win. It could be 2-1, 3-2, 4-2 … who know. The only thing I do know is that if Jota plays he’ll get a goal.
Diogo Jota has averaged a goal or assist every 41 minutes in his five appearances at the Emirates Stadium for Liverpool (five goals, two assists). (BBC)
But we can score a few too. We can win this. Many pundits seem to think it’ll be an open game. I’m not so sure, but we will see.
The choice between the Rice Jorginho pivot vs Rice, ESR, Odegaard as the standard 433 is interesting looking at the pros & cons of both. Especially when Arteta sods all that off to stick with tried and failed Havertz in the 8 ![]()
Liverpool have gotten the better of us recently despite missing key players. Time for us to use home to our advantage and step up.
A win needed at all cost.
Didn’t we beat Liverpool at the Emirates last season? 3-2?
Whilst I do think they’ll win, it won’t be easy for them - we’re not pushovers anymore.
Top 3 team & club in the country, let’s at least give them a game.
Worries for every game.
Against shit teams we worry.
Against good teams we worry.
Against West Ham, Fulham, even Forest,we worry.
Against City, Pool we worry.
WTF???
Its a lot of worrying. Cant be healthy.
