Arsenal Vs Everton (Premier League) 4-0

Did I read someone say tonight’s a free pass ? As in if we drop points it isn’t a big deal ??

I couldn’t disagree more with that, massive pressure, it’s a game in hand, we need to make it count against a lowly side at home and put 5 points separation between us and City.

Every single dropped points until the end of the season could essentially cost us the title so I can’t imagine too many people think we have any free hits left. If we ever did

We used up our free hits if ever we had one.

at one point, we had a game on hand, and 8 point difference… (or 5?)

but not anymore

We never had 8 + a game in hand. We win tonight and we’re even with city on points since WC.

please forgive the old man… bad memory…
or we had 5+ before?

Yea we had 8 point lead on even games at one point. And 5 with game in hand at another.

Time to right some wrongs tonight.

I did some quick maffs in another thread a couple of weeks ago.

City can achieve a maximum of 94 points. That’s if they win all of their remaining 13 games. Highly unlikely. More likely they get something like 30-32 out of their remaining 39 points. That’s something like 10 wins, 2 draws and 1 loss. Even that would be uncharacteristic given their inconsistency this season. Anyway, they get to 87 points that way.

We have 14 games left. I reckon we need to win 10 of them and not lose more than 2. Would take us to 88+ points.

So every game we now play, I’m just thinking “win this and now we only need to win x more”.

Well tonight if we win, we only need to win 9 more.

It really is an achievable target given our results this season. I can’t imagine we’ll get a better opportunity than this for a long time. Winning the league with high 80s. Please Arsenal, make my life. Please.

Nice to see Trossard keeping his place in the team. Smort.

8 points was the most with the same games, the best the gap potentially looked was 8 points and City trailing spurs 2-0 at Half Time at the Etihad.

A win to nil with Maupay getting a nice kick to the face with no punishment

Perfect scenario

Neil Maupay to shithouse his way to a booking? *checks odds

Eddie benched again. Too many people were making excuses for his inability to tuck away chances. Hopefully some time on the bench gets his competitive juices stirred

I’ve taken to updating an excel sheet after each round of games to save me the heavy thinking on all this. 17 more points and Chelsea can’t catch us

That’s what’s screwed us every time before

Played Everton on PES last night and Maupay got booked for diving lol
