I know that there’s a school of thought among fans that Arteta should rotate heavily for this game and I get that logic.

But there’s no chance Arteta would do that, so it seems pointless to speculate about to me. We’ll be treating this as a massive game and going for the win.

And with that in mind, I’m right up for us exorcising a few demons against this lot.

Confident. Would maybe go with 3 or 4 changes to keep freshness in the team for the Chelsea game.

We’re pretty much gonna have to play our strongest XI for three consecutive games, with maybe the tiniest of changes, like MLS for Calafiori.

For Wednesday I’m thinking:

Raya;
Timber, Saliba, Hincapie, MLS;
Eze, Zubimendi, Rice;
Saka, Merino, Martinelli

Looking forward to this. A loss dosnt really change a great deal we are still in a good position to finish top 8 but it’s a great chance to see how we match up against the most in form team in Europe this season.

I’d be surprised if we see any more than a couple changes from Spurs.

For the first time we can actually beat Bayern now with our quality of squad.

9 points from 9 is the dream

We don’t have players to do that though.

MLS will probably come in and maybe one or two of Madueke, Odegaard or Martinelli.

Any updates on the injured players ?

No and I doubt Arteta will reveal much before this game.

Hah, he said that in press conference for Spurs.

He said some may be close to return but he wouldn’t say who. :rofl:

This is the time to rotate. It’s a hard decision but at this juncture the Premier League is the piority.

Raya

White - Saliba - Mosquera - MLS

Nwaneri - Norgaard or Zubimendi - Rice

Saka - Merino - Madueke

The thing is, we could rotate while still keeping CL as a priority too, as there’s still plenty games left to qualify comfortably. I’m all in for a bit of rotation.

Nearly there or just when we got two players back, we had a setback with two other.

I hope in second half the season we are over this and have most of the squad fully fit

I don’t usually vote before a match on the result, but I have done and I’ve gone for a draw. I think we need to hold our own against this lot but it will be a tough match and we need to leave some in the tank for Sunday against Chelsea. That could be a really pivotal match in the title race this season if we win it!

If you told me we lose this and win the Chelsea game I’d take it.
Ideally we win both though. I’ll be pleasantly surprised if we do so.

I’ll take a draw on Wednesday and a win on Sunday! :grinning:

What fucking logic is that? Our biggest CL opponent of the season. Anyone who wants to rotate much is a clown.

Full team - can swap one or two like tross and Gabi or timby and white.

Worry about Chelsea afterwards and/or swap 2 more in that game.
