Ten mins before kick off, just got Sky Sports up on the Xbox, figured itās time to grab a beer - and then come back and place twenty quid on Chelsea to win by two goals or more. Go to the kitchen, grab a nice cold one, walk past the stairs down to my front door and hear a scratching noise.
I go down the stairs (upstairs flat) to my front door, and hear that itās someone fucking with the lock on the other side. Asked who was there, and the police answered. Reluctantly open the door, tell me theyāre here to search the property in connection with a crime. I asked for more information and they wouldnāt give it to me, said they didnāt have to. Asked for a warrant, said they didnāt need some and started quoting legislation. Let them in so they could see if the person was in the property, then had to stand with them in the hallway til they spoke to the right colleagues to confirm that the info was all wrong.
By the time they actually left I walked back in to see Chelsea were already two up and then I realised that that whole interaction had cost me fucking money cos I didnāt get to place my bet.
Fuck the police.

Ultimately by the time we get our best 11 available the season is already over. If you are going to have a top 4 challenge you canāt be losing your first 3 games of the season.
