Arsenal transfers 25/26

Bloody hell, when you think of how bleak it looked for Man City at numerous points that season.

Bayern away
Arsenal away (yeah, we actually beat them!)

They were imperious at times but what a bottle job by United. Gotta go down as the worst (or best, however you look at it) bottle job of the PL era. 8 points ahead with 5 games to play. Jeez.

Owe Wigan a lot. I believe Wigan beat United in the run-in.

Still think Newcastle shade that but yeah a definite choke job that was.

We paid the price for that though unfortunately, RvP joined United right after that.

I like the sound of this Darwin guy.

Sounds like he is a highly evolved striker.

We’re all having a good time. Reminiscing, laughing, rejoicing.

Why you gotta ruin the vibes?

:pensive:

Fair point, I take my leave

Are you serious? Milito is one of the top 10 or so strikers of the 2010s period. :sunglasses:

These breakdowns are usually quite decent

Who wouldn’t want a potential Cavani regen especially in this dry striker market

I remember West Ham tried to get it over the line but couldn’t seal the deal, he has a good profile phsyically and movement seems to be very good. There’s no sure thing for us out there but hopefully we don’t swing and miss as any of these guys are going to cost us big money because the whole world knows we’re desperate

Interesting prospect

Yeh I’m very interested in this signing, absolutely adored Cavani back in the day and he even achieves half of what he did then we’ll have done well.

The 4 goals in 8 CL apps is also very encouraging

23, damn maybe we are selling Saliba

I think I saw a version of this posted above / elsewhere but it’s quite striking - seems to be a very well-rounded player

I just watched a video of all Cavani’s Napoli goals. What a player. Its really too bad that he spent his prime at PSG, playing in that league and also getting shunted around to accommodate others like Zlatan.

I’m not sure Nunez is quite at that level, either in terms of pace or technique, but he wouldn’t have to be to improve us massively.

Haaland is absolute dream territory

Osimhen would be fantastic and exactly what we need, but very unrealistic given he signed with Napoli a year or two ago? Would take huge sums to make them part with him (plus our history of dunking on them and their transfer dealings). I imagine even if there was an inkling that Napoli would accept offers, bigger sharks would come circling for him anyway.

So that leaves us apple bobbing in the proverbial barrell category of young, exciting, Twitter-nerd-frothing hype boys with relatively raw components and big price tags.

All the strikers we have been linked with/are out there with a Brazil Scout compilation, are not necessarily ā€˜proven’ at this point. And the striker ā€˜market’ is a funny one to buy in because they generally don’t hang around for long when that PR hype is generated. Someone almost always jumps in and picks them up, hoping they’ve got a gem before any of the big clubs claim their prize.

We obviously won’t get Haaland and I don’t think Arteta will go for an older striker like Lewandowski so Osimhen or Nunez look more likely.
Although Osimhen would be a great signing, he is going to be about 100m but If he wants a player from the PL then DCL could still happen.

I’m all in on Nunez

F*ck it, I just want us to go all out for Declan Rice. I know there is a lot of focus on CF, but I see CM as just as important, if not more.

Really? Our midfield is functioning really fucking well, our goal scoring however, it’s going to be the real difference maker for us in these final few games. We’re genuinely fucked if our wide players stop scoring.
