Tim Stillman says he would be more of a backup CM rather than a Xhaka replacement.

Feels like paper talk. If weāre going for a CM now, its more likely to be a guy who can help immediately.
We also already have Lokonga, Patino, and maybe Azeez and Salah if they come good at this level as young CMs. I donāt see us trying to add another 20-year-old to the mix. We need an early prime age player who can compete with Xhaka for a starting spot.
He has dyed blonde hair the last I checked. Probably isnāt a serious player and only cares about tattoos and cars. Donāt want.
I lost all my motivation to work hard when I dyed my hair, and getting a tattoo crushed my spirit completely.

January is a really tough market, especially in this situation. You can sign a midfield before the Anfield trip but canāt be a factor because of various reasons: zero knowledge of what the coach wants from him, knowledge of team-mates, form.
Anyway, a Kim Kallstrom deal is the only one way to follow if Arsenal want to improve the midfield in terms of numbers.

Wanted to leave despite knew more mins would have been conceded because of Elneny and Partey departures for Afcon. Wanted to go.
I think he wanted to go knowing that as soon as those players came back in 3-4 weeks heād be right back to getting 0 minutes
