Arsenal transfers 25/26

Happened to me the other day

Yeah I think it happens when you amend a post that initially had a quote in it, but then gets deleted.

Sorry to the folks who have received notifications from me as a result of this ineptitude on my part

Convinced @Phoebica is getting a small commission on the deal. Well earned though, been on the train for a while.

You’re misrepresenting what I was saying. There is no fear from my perspective and I have been one of the few on here who has consistently been optimistic over Arsenal’s prospects and the progress Arteta and Edu are making. I do think we will get back into the top four, challenge again for the league and for Europe. Whether we can do that this year is too early to say, but I have faith in ‘the project’.

My concern is making sure we sign players who are committed to the club and I want the team to maintain the strong team dynamic and togetherness which we currently have. I have faith in the club.

I’m assuming 2 of the 3 names are Bruno and Arthur? Who’s the third?

The tweet says Bruno isn’t a January target.
If I could make a guess whoever else is in that list is either available on loan or a free agent in 6 months.
Gini and Zakaria perhaps?

Yeah I’d imagine it’s Gini as a loan, Zakaria on an early permanent deal or Arthur on loan.

Would happily take Wijnaldum here, someone who can hit the ground running, which isn’t something you can get easily around the winter window, a loan so that we can get a younger target for next season would be the perfect scenario.

Arthur on loan is a no go for me. Took him forever to settle at Juventus (arguably still hasn’t) and never settled at Barcelona.

The Arthur-Pjanic swap is surely one of the shadiest deals in modern times lol. I actually felt that he was pretty good at Barca too, so felt kinda sorry for him that he was shipped out to Juve so suddenly

The fact Juventus have avoided a transfer ban in the last few years makes me skeptical that anyone is really driving the bus on oversight on these deals.

They’re under investigation atm for financial misconduct relating to the Pjanic and Arthur deal

Him wanting to leave in a couple of seasons or so is not something I am overly bothered by, btw. We sell for a profit, meanwhile he would have helped lift the club to make it more attractive while we have more spending power as a result of doing well over those couple of seasons. Who knows, at that juncture Balogun might even be fully ready.

Yeah, them and Napoli right?

I won’t hold my breath.

My timeline is losing it over this, lol.
