I think itâs worth waiting and the spending our entire summer transfer budget on one top class striker and a slightly better rising star forward than the ones we have.

The question to consider is whether bringing in the CF is integral to the Top 4 push.
Normally it wouldnât be a situation but there does appear to be tension between the highest levels of the club and Auba, and an urgent desire to offload and replace. If we just offloaded Auba without a replacement we would be dependent on Laca quite a bit, who himself is likely on his way out with his contract expiring. If we kept Auba, and there might end up no choice on this no matter how hard the club tries it might be a very difficult situation for Arteta to handle, and a distraction overall for the club. Yes, a difficult situation based on Artetaâs choices and management, but we have to deal with the situation as it is.
The second paragraph is some elaboration on details, but the central question is whether bringing in the CF this window is integral to the Top 4 push. Getting Top 4 provides a windfall for the club, so it is a bit speculate to accumulate, etc. Bear in mind also that United wonât always be in turmoil, but they are right now, and that presents an opportunity in going for fourth, Spuds perhaps being the main obstacle.

The weird thing is we did make that big move for Arshavin in January of 09 (maybe?) and it saved the season. But when we were in the title race a few years later with Welbeck injured and Giroud stinking the place out we only signed Elneny. Talk about losing your nerve.
i cant forgive the year we only signed cech with wenger saying we will be able to compete to me that was the absolute in lousiness. There was absolutely no excuse, there was definitely money and there was so much time. Everything refused and we started the season with wenger suddenly realising âyeeeeeeeeah this isnt going to workâ
