There’s so much shite goin about - the club is probably briefing we are interested in everyone to keep the fans off their backs
Nah they did that with Maddison around season ticket renewal time. Now they don’t care. So links are probably real.
This is a good thread about transfer rumours actually. Only going to post the first one because it is long. But it’s worth clicking and reading I think
Gallas was better for us than Cech was, people just underestimate his time at us because of the St Andrews sulk.
Yeah I guess. He was decent to be fair. You’re right about the sulk - the first image that comes to mind when I think of him is him sitting on the pitch.
He was captain, though. You can’t be doing that.
Yeah I agree. He was immense for us at times and clearly the best CB at the club during his time here.
Good plan. It seems to be working.
Aouar is the better option for us. This reeks of Edu again.
Wouldn’t get big John doing these transfers.
Bruno can play deeper, better suited to be play in a pivot with Partey. The only worry is his inexperience though.
Btw who is this @JohnKnowsBall?
Going back to Lautaro for a minute - anybody got thoughts on his ability / potential.
He’s not wildly prolific - 37 league goals in 100 games but presumably he plays as a support / secondary forward to big Rom.
Not that I think we have a chance of getting him, but he’s a player that seems to be very highly rated.
At least Guimarães is a good player though, I like his profile and been impressed when I’ve watched him.
Ceiling is quite high.
Superb potential. I can see him being Suarez level prolific (maybe not quite that prolific, but a bracket below) in the coming years. He improves year on year.
@Darkseid yeah I figure that Bruno fits better as a Xhaka replacement
I doubt that John Collins guy knows anything but in theory Bruno Guimaraes might be my #1 (plausible) choice to replace Xhaka. He just seems like a really well rounded player in that 6/8 role - good passing range, can carry and create off carries, good tackler, good movement off the ball. And I like the idea of adding to the young Brazilian group in the team.
Working about as well as any their other ideas.
lol
I dunno, Inter’s interest in Bellerin seems pretty real, so it might be one of the rare occasions where this could actually be feasible.
Still 99% chance it doesn’t happen like with most player exchanges that are part of rumoured deals ofc, but seem a touch more feasible than most.
Also it feels like Italian clubs are one of the few parties that ever actually seems to want player exchange deals because they never have any money
Which we all know to definitely be the case with Inter in particular
