Arsenal transfers 25/26

Similar to what was mentioned by The Athletic and Fabrizio. As Fab said, some media like to ahead of themselves and report bids and agreements, when in reality Arsenal just registered their interest.

For that figure might awsell keep it at interest level, english tax getting more and more ridiculous.

Yes let’s play for them to get haaland, develop their academy talents and neglect ours

Tammy would be ok if: Lacazette fucks off. And available for ÂŁ10-15m. Not under any other circumstances

Hmmm, if Tammy is worth 15m then how much is Nketiah worth with a year left in his contract?

The £5m we’ll no doubt end up getting for him
I think Tammy is worth £20m, meaning a £25m agreement I wouldn’t be outraged about.

But 25m flat or loan with option to buy at 40m would be the only things I’d consider remotely worthwhile.

Would make my summer. I’ll let Edu off if he can make this happen :joy:

If we could sell Lacazette and Nketiah and get Abraham as a replacement, for a net spend of a few million, that would be good business.
Then, if he doesn’t work out, West Ham or Everton can take him off our hands, like they usually do.

But does he want to come here and play as a second choice striker behind Aubameyang or would he prefer to start regularly for West Ham, who are also interested?

Depends on if he fancies his chances against an ageing Auba. I think he will.
I can’t see him rejecting Arsenal if we came knocking personally. It is most likely his dream move with him being a gooner and all.

We’ve made an enquiry for Lautaro Martinez?

In reality, Edu has texted Marotta on WhatsApp and been left on two blue ticks

We “inquired” about Lautaro Martinez the same way I’d “inquire” about the price of expensive champagne. No intention or ability to actually buy it. Can’t wait for Edu to say “No, Tammy was always our first choice to play striker” at the Abraham unveiling when someone asks him about Lautaro.

We inquired for the inquiry, nothing more.
Or just to make ourselves in relevant headlines

Or we did nothing and this dickhead is talking out of his ass.

I’m really not convinced by Abraham and would question if he is any good, why is Chelsea letting him go. Think he would do well at Everton or West Ham but can’t see him being as good at Auba or Laca. I’d much prefer us, if we are going to sell Laca, to give Balogun a real opportunity but also try Martinelli as a central striker.

We are not going to be able to strengthen in every position this summer, and for me it will be more important on getting a new RB, central midfielder and an attacking midfielder in place before then end of the window. Then next summer we could go in big for a top quality striker to compete and ultimately replace Auba.

As I said before, our record of buying Chelsea players isn’t good but if Lacazette leaves and we get Abraham as a replacement, for a net spend of around 10m, he would be ok as cover for Aubameyang,
If he doesn’t work out we aren’t going to lose much money on him, if we have to move him on.

I agree, we really need to look for a top level striker after this season and that has to be sorted out quickly because if Aubameyang can’t get us goals, we don’t want to rely on Martinelli of Balogun.

Usually they are past their prime though. Cech wasn’t awful. But Chelsea obviously got the best of him. Willian, Gallas etc, Chelsea had already rinsed before they came here. Whereas they got a prime Ashley Cole from us.

Think Abraham is different though. You’re right in what you say about if he doesn’t work out we can probably get a decent fee selling him.

Or it could be that Chelsea haven’t used him right - he’s never really been properly first choice for them. And it’s not like they haven’t sold players who have gone on to have great careers before.
