I don’t think he did play us at all. It was all agent/media bullshit really. About fucking time Barca signed Willian anyway. He was in danger of becoming their Sebastian Frey.

This makes zero sense if we’re still spending 28m on a loan fee or something ridiculous like that. Who cares if we’re splitting the salary?
If we’re guaranteed to eat shit from Kia’s list, at least it’s a guy who will only take up space for a single season and not Willian. Still a little worrying that we’re hard up for cash but willing to spend it on Coutinho. I wonder if that means he’s the only creative player coming in.

So the club is trying to force Ozil out by not letting him play football and now we’re gonna loan the guy that Barcelona doesn’t want and is also trying to get rid off.
So what’s the difference here? Is it that the higher ups are buddies with Kia?
If these morons actually try to pitch Coutinho as the big signing and go easy on other areas. 
I’d be okay with this. It means we avoid giving Willian 3 years of which he will absolutely stink up the final 12-18 months of, and we get a creative midfield player.
Not sure if you can call him a creative midfielder. That’s not really his specialty. Xhaka and Ceballos are probably better playmakers than him. He is a great dribbler and a goalscorer though.

We don’t know the loan fee or cost of the deal. But we get a top class attacking mid in his prime with no obligation for a long term deal. HE could help fire us into the CL spots. If we get Coutinho I don’t see us getting another attacking mid, no. But quite likely we get a central midfielder
