I rather we should get players now. Instead of messing up frist half of next season (like we did with Pepe), we can use this shithole of a season to get players in and get them accustomed to Arteta’s tactics

It’s fairly obvious there will be no big signings in this window.
There are no players that we need that are going to come here half way through a season and it’s not as if any top class player coming in is going to help us in our quest to catch Liverpool this season.
So we might as well write off yet another season and wait until the next window where we will really show our strength and muscle in the transfer market.
The only bit of transfer business that might give the club a lift, as well as gain us some points, is if we sell Mustafi.
Surely Arteta mustafi seen enough of this clown to realise that this biggest waste of money we have spent is really a spurs supporter in disguise.
One does not, usually, get any good players in January. You need a lot of stars to align.
World class players, no but a solid squad player like Monreal can be achieved in January.
We have so many holes in our squad - a winger, couple of midfielders, a centre back, a backup right back.
Surely couple of them could be addressed now.
Which also leaves us less to handle in summer and help us focus on getting quality players.

How much do you think we can really do in summer alone.
He needs to put a mark on this squad. We know the limitations of it and he does now. One or two low-key or loaned signings would give him that.
If not this team will relax knowing their safe and the famed bottling will come out for the cups as per usual.

I have lost touch with the world of football to make an educated guess. However, surely a club with an extensive scouting network could identify few players out of thousands of professional footballers worth pursuing.
