Not much but the fee sounds about right if you consider how much they sold their best player last season for.
It sounds weird, but the fee and wages should not be a problem should the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool, Barca or Bayern try to get him. Issue is Leao himself.
Trossard potentially off, but not heard more on Zinchenko, Vieira, Lokonga etc. These guys might raise £50m between them which we could add to the £40m supposedly earmarked for Madueke and actually put it all towards Rodrygo instead.
This could well be Berta’s MO at work here (as pointed out to me in here a few days ago).
Personal terms agreed for competing players before we decide which one to buy. I have no doubt that if Eze comes in for £60m, we’re not paying a similar figure for a Saka back-up.
I think it makes Rodrygo less likely though, unless we sell Martinelli.
Harsh, he is an intelligent winger compared to head down go with no plan Martinelli.
We have been victim of Gordon’s play multiple times in last 3 seasons
This is a weird update from Ben White…sorry I mean “Daily AFC”.
Why would it be strange for the winger’s agent to be aware that Anthony Gordon’s agent was at our training ground? Is his agent the least observant person on planet earth?
They’ve both had a similar peak in 2022/2023 and 2023/2024 and what did Gordon follow up his good season with last season? Crap just like Martinelli
Both pace merchants that need large space to be effective, limit the space and it hurts their game because they have little nous on the ball
Gordon may be slightly better at a push but it results in a similar outcome and in no way to the point where he should replace him and if anyone thinks that then I question what the hell that person is seeing.
Neither have shown the consistency to be starters for a club with the ambitons we have at all.
