Arsenal transfers 25/26

Man, touching the final line is not even about English or not.

How thick is the finish line?
How much remaining to cross it?

Or it is like reaching the goal.
It does not mean you have reached but just towards it??

I was bashing the “update” itself but not the usage of language. The so call “update”, basically are bullshit 99% of time. Some are just all B.S.

Expecting to see at some point

Touching cloth
Transfer approaching turtle head state

Can someone confirm whether the whole of the deal has to be over the whole of the line for it to count

Arsenal are expected to step up their interest in Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze after meeting his representatives last week and have been sounding out other potential attacking reinforcements. Real Madrid’s Rodrygo is thought to be valued at £85m and reports in Spain have indicated the Brazilian would be allowed to leave if there is a suitable offer.

Noni Madueke of Chelsea would be a cheaper option and Arsenal have enquired about the England forward during talks over the signing of Kepa Arrizabalaga. Madueke is thought to be willing to follow the Spain goalkeeper and could be available for about £40m, although Chelsea value the 23-year-old at £50m and he has interest from other Premier League clubs. Newcastle’s Anthony Gordon is also on Arsenal’s shortlist.

I’m not sure there’s any non-Saudi club that’d be willing to pay such a massive fee for an out of favour Rodrygo, on top of having to sign him up on well over 200k pw.

I said that no-one should panic before July. I said that I’d expect news by the time my adventure to Spain was over.

Well, I’m home and about to sip my first tea in a week and…WTF??? PANIC!!!

Yep. Was just about to touch on that…

I wonder when will all those who said we still have plenty of time and how it’s all going normal so far start getting worried/nervous.

We’re in July now, and we are yet to even make a proper offer regarding an area where we need the most improvement (aside this Partey-Zubi swap).
All we have so far is plenty of buzz in the media, and many took that as a positive sign of us doing tons of activity.
Lol.

WHEN we make that offer it takes some time to get acceped and I don’t expect our first/next offer to do the job. And even WHEN it gets accepted we know how much time it takes to finalise a big deal. And we should make two of those.

I definitely did expect us to be advanced with one of those signings by now (basically at a stage where we’re with Norgaard atm, or at least Mosquera).

I don’t I expect even one of those big forwards signings to be ready for the start of the summer preparations as things are (not) going atm.
That’s why I was frustrated with us not even making a proper, conrete move (bid) a month ago, because it does take some time to get that deal over the line.

Now it does make sense when I was blowing over a cold soup already in May, does it?

DOES IT?!?!?!

I was half joking. I didn’t expect the Sesko transfer to break down in the way it did. It all seemed like a tap-in but I guess none of us know what’s going on there.

I was at least expecting the ones we’ve known about for a while to be confirmed by now(Zubi & Norgaard).

We are testing out a new DOF, he’s got new methods and has a lot of deals to complete in a short amount of time, a baptism of fire if you like. That’s where my concern is. The unknown, the unfamiliar added to the PTSD of the January window. I should also add that I’m getting professional help for chronic anxiety, so I’m probably not a great example of where most of our fans’ heads are at right now.

I think it’s far too soon to take a “I told you so” approach but obviously if we fail to land a good striker and at least one additional attacker by the end of the window then the stage is all yours.

This thing Madueke is silently advancing, there will be scenes if Ornstein makes a dedicated post about it.

If Madueke is who we end up signing, this club is in no way serious about winning stuff.

4th July and still nothing concrete in place. No bids sent.

Just busy working on two deals at the same time…

No point in it if the one we want doesn’t end up here.

Do you really believe the ITK garbage on this angle?

Turns out it was all fart and no poo.

I’ll be waiting for the Orn-shart.

When bids get made, the big outlets end up reporting it, no?

I haven’t seen anything from Sky Sports etc about our bids. But I’m seeing their reports about other clubs making bids.

It’s his gimmick to overreact about anything and everything don’t you know this?

So, my interpretation of the current status.
Zubimendi - announcement pending, possibly delayed out of respect for LFC and Jota’s family.
Sesko - We’ve walked away, Personal terms agreed but Leipzig are cunts and Red Bull is a shit product.
Gyokeres - Now our main striking target - should be news next week, could involve Vieira going the other way.
Nørgaard - announcement pending.
Mosquera - Arsenal still pursuing, Valencia have offered him a new contract.
Rodrygo - Most likely if we sell Martinelli, otherwise might not happen.
Madueke - Looks like he’s leaving Chelsea and our interest is real.
Eze - Player wants the move, appears to be gaining traction.
Watkins - Still on our radar for squad depth, but dependent on what happens with the above.

Thanks for the update

What’s announcing Zubi got anything to do with Jota?

They probably have about 2 hours of content to go with the announcement which will be drip fed for a couple of days.

Not gonna do that in a period where the main football story is the death and funeral of the two brothers.
