Arsenal transfers 25/26

Excellent as in value for the money they paid?

Wirtz is a top talent I’ll give you that for sure.
Reijnders is a very good midfielder but he’s the same player that was key for one of the worst Milan sides ever.
Cherki seems a top talent but there question marks over his fitness and commitment.

I can see being jealous of Liverpool but City’s business doesn’t exactly strike me with fear. If I’m being honest, I was expecting more from them.

I hope we hit our transfer targets obviously but it is also interesting if our selling improves with the Bertmeister in charge of things.

Whether it is Arsenal (KSE) policy to not deal with the Saudis = selling players to that league, that doesn’t look like something that has changed since he has come into the DOF role (yet).

We have a host of players that can be sold and we all know who they are - if we can improve the kind of fees and total players sold this summer too, that would be an excellent start to Berta’s career at Arsenal.

We were interested according to Orn

For €15m a year I’m not surprised he chose Gala. I wouldn’t want anything to do with him on that kind of money.

Yep, crazy money for a player of his age and value.

I guess he fills the void Osimhen is leaving.

Wasn’t keen on him but wouldn’t have minded him as Saka’s direct cover.
Interesting if we still go on to recruit a Saka cover, on top of a striker and left winger.

Galatasaray can afford a salary like that?

Have you seen how many Turkish barber shops there are in London alone? All cash only as well :ode2:

It is crazy money, but James’ maths is terrible.

£475k a week works out at nearly £30m a year.

Maybe they just much lower taxes in Turkey, assuming that’s what he had in mind, idk?

After net here, he’s about right

Then do the math for me, because he seems to have doubled the salary.

To get around £15m a year after tax in the UK he’d need to be on near £500k a week before tax.

We’ll see if more names pop up but as of the last update from The Athletic, three names for striker and left winger have been mentioned respectively.

Who’s your pick for each?

Striker:

  • Gyokeres
  • Sesko
  • Watkins

Left winger:

  • Rodrygo
  • Williams
  • Gordron

I voted for Gordron because he sounds like a Transformer

I’m a bit shocked Sesko’s winning that. I swear 2-3 weeks ago Gyokeres would edge that.

2-3 weeks ago I was 100 percent team Vic. My percentage is falling now. I still would rather him over Sesko but its not as locked as it once was

How fickle football fans are!
2 weeks ago, Gyoksuckers won by a landslide

I have a feeling if we really did go after isak and we did spend that sort of money on him within a season he would be out of action more than he is on the pitch.
