Arsenal transfers 25/26

On a serious note, I do wonder if Juve might be willing to do a Sterling with him where they consider letting him go out on loan just to save on his massive wages.
They’re trying to pull of an expensive transfer with Araujo, which will involve a hefty fee and significant wages I presume.
And of course they’re also trying to get Kolo Muani.
That’s on top of their busy transfer window.

Another project, you’re not trying to win now with that dude

These people aren’t serious

Half the window almost done and we are no closer to making a signing, which is what most of us expected. Outside of some last minute Sterling like pointless loan move, we’ll do nothing this window, and this season.

Can we just fast forward to Aug 2025? The rest of this season will be a painful affair, one that we are all too familiar with.

Might have to adjust my expectations for the season. After the first ~8-ish games, I thought we’d finish 3rd. But honestly with the way we’re playing, I don’t even know anymore.

4th or 5th perhaps, with all these injuries and bottlers who don’t know where the net is.

It’ll be supreme, peak Arsenal for Man City to still finish above us this season.

He was always going to be the 9 Arteta wanted.

He’s amazing mate.

He isn’t even ripping up the BundASSliga

I despair

One thing is for sure if we sign Sesko we’re gunning for the title of most physically imposing team in PL history lol

Welcome to the dark side.

I’ll believe it when I see it

Do people really expect a huge name striker to move in this window? In what is already a dire striker market, the most likely move is a guy who has a chance to blow at the right club tbh.

There are like 3 or 4 bonafide good strikers in the whole world lol even Gyokeres has that little bit of uncertainty about whether he is just beating up on farmers or not.

Would people be happy with someone like Ollie Watkins?

Gyokeres ‘flopped’ at Brighton, who were a PL team and now we want him because he’s ripping it up in the Primeira Liga :+1:

And now he’s as close to the finished article as you’ll get, I know what I see when I’ve watched him play

Sesko could get benched by Havertz (yes really ) and even if he will be class I’d say he’s perhaps 4 years away from being anywhere near the level of Gyökeres if ever

Not even remotely comparable as players

The messaging has changed since the Man Utd game as it should have done.

I feel more confident that our geeks are crunching stats, scouts are having daily meetings with management and our accountants preparing the financial case for more investment.

I’m not comparing the players, merely the leagues they play in and how that is used as a way to make conclusions. Regardless of who we want, I think if we look at some of the players we have been linked with in the past, Arteta seems to prefer a ‘big lad’ up front (for all the crosses we can inevitably spam them with).

I’m being facetious in what I say, if that hasn’t been picked up on :vinai:

Hahaha my bad :face_exhaling:

Not an exciting signing for sure. And not a long term one either given his age. He’ll definitely be an upgrade on what we have but that’s not saying much. And I don’t think he’ll be cheap given the English tax.

That’s kinda my point. We could very easily end up paying lots for not a whole lot (relatively speaking). As desperately as we need a forward, I’m gonna be pretty underwhelmed if we pull the trigger on someone of that ilk.

I reckon he’s got flop written all over him. Just don’t see it with him
