Arsenal transfers 25/26

If this is true, which is unlikely, this would be the definition of a panic buy, although it does at least show Arteta has realised how poor our attack is.

But getting Rashford on massive wages is not the way to go because we’d be wasting money on yet another mediocre attacking player which we already have plenty of.

It’d be better to go the rest of the season with what we have and then get a proper striker.

No time for random youth.

I want people mid 20’s to win now

It’s almost like there’s an inherent attitude within the structure of the club for the last few decades that as soon as we get within touching distance we have to fuck it all up and be cheap cunts.

I’m all for youth but this isn’t a youth project anymore, I thought we had gone past that stage of the project.
The problem with youth is that you need at least 5-10 players to find one decent one that’s good enough to hold a squad place… Even more to find one that’s world class/generational.

Like merino? :eyes:

Or do both.

Wtf is going on lol

Who is directing transfer policy!?

I don’t see him as a bad signing

I reckon Arteta and co have reservations about Kvara as a team player lol. He’s a very selfish player who loves to dribble the team and shoot unnecessarily.

There will always be excuses for not doing certain things but after a while they becomes a crutch for losers

Kroenke and co. need to look at last two seasons to see how far Arteta has taken us and back him in this window.

You mentioned he and Conte had a falling out. I’ve read some reports and Conte is indeed willing to let him go.

It is odd that that they’re willing to let such a key player go while in a title race, especially for the price being touted.
Either his head is completely turned by PSG and the wages they’re offering him or there are genuine concerns about him, similar to Osimhen.

I actually think that signing a couple of youngsters who are on or close to the level of Ethan and Miles would benefit us more than relying on the likes of Sterling or Rashford or paying over the odds for a much-coveted superstar.

This should be the long-term strategy of the club anyway. Others can buy lots of star players. Long-term we need a steady flow of wonderkids coming through to keep up with the mega-bucks clubs. Declan Rice level signings will only be made where there’s an urgent need to upgrade on the first eleven.

I’m managing a transfer budget of £15m at Roma in FM at the moment. It’s only when you take a step back from the EPL that you realise how insane footballer’s values and demands are. It’s an economic bubble, Arsenal have to be prepared and in a good place when it finally bursts.

Not really the time but the ideal scenario(by next window) for me just from a profile POV in the squad:

  • a top class forward that can play down the left(if they can play up top as well, even better)
  • an understudy forward to replace Jesus
  • an understudy midfielder to replace Partey/Jorginho
  • an understudy defender to replace Zinchenko/Kiwior
  • an understudy goalkeeper to Raya

So I’m pretty open to signing youngsters.

I’m tired of understudies

We need to win right now man

By summer we’re going to see how truly serious this regime is because if we do nothing this window coupled with a shit summer then we’re essentially just a big club in name only trading off of history

I think there is a Dowman shaped hole in midfield…i reckon as soon as he is old enough for his professional contract he will get some 1st team minutes.

Who are the understudies we’ve signed recently?
Sterling and Neto? Before that Trossard, Jorginho and Kiwior?

Gabriel, Partey, Ramsdale, White, Odegaard, Jesus, Zinchenko, Timber, Rice, Havertz and Raya all came in straight into the starting line-up.
