Just get in the bidding war for kvara and put the principles up your arse for once Arsenal

Doubt we’ll be anywhere near him. I reckon Arteta and co don’t like his all action dribbling style and his lack of team ethic.

Without causing a meltdown, strong chance there wasn’t any intention to sign anybody. That still might be the case.

Ironically exactly what we need

Not even pissed because I came to terms with this before the window opened

What will change so much in 6 months so we will be able to have a “biG suMmeR Of sPEndinG” while we aren’t able to get one player now for 50M?

That’s just complete utter garbage.

Well the accounting year the PL use will reset so it is quite feasible tbh.

I know you like him but it’s why I really wasn’t keen on Merino once the price was 40m. The original 18-20m sounded like a bargain but we clearly don’t have enough room FFP/PSR wise to keep up with city and co.

Reset in the summer and it’s time for another deccy rice. I think we could move in Jan but then the summer will just be more boring. Really depends what they think will be better for the club with the next few years in mind and not just this season like us fans are mostly looking at.

I think kvara is worth spending from the summer budget now. Maybe Williams too since we wanted him anyway. Not much else worth it.

Good, there’s no room for spontaneity in this team.

“Arsenal did not want to be roped into any bidding wars, and will be keeping cards close to their chest as they prepare for a big summer of spending”

Saying this is just like a Wenger era quote.
Competing to sign the best players is what big clubs do, so if there isn’t a bidding war, the player probably isn’t worth signing.

This is the likely scenario and it would be better for Arteta to get the top quality signings he really wants at the end of the season, rather than panic buy in this window.

Clear as day that the guy is focused on PSG. His head was turned in the summer. He’s essentially their Mbappe replacement. Even the likes of Liverpool, Man Utd and Chelsea who are interested probably couldn’t persuade him if they tried to at this point.

Sounds like something our PR team would say

I’m not excusing them for not signing a player. I’m excusing them(and other interested teams) for Kvara, specifically.

We should hopefully be able to benefit from all the movement this window. There are opportunities and as PSG just showed, you can even get someone to leave their a club while a title charge is ongoing.

Do we actually have a PR team

For what is worth, if we had the money to pay for Kvara, I’d rather use that to test the waters with Musiala, Leao, Barcola and Wirtz.
Perhaps Rodrygo as well.
Didn’t even mention Nico as he has a release clause.

What’s with you and rodrygo? Every list you mention him and he’s not bad but he’s definitely not taking us up a level. Is it that you think he’d be a cheaper option to use across both wings?

As for kvara he’s worth getting in a battle for and he’s up for 30m cheaper than the rumours in the past. You can certainly make an effort to turn him away from PSG. I don’t know why they get such a hold over certain players because they are fucking shit.

any signings yet? :face_holding_back_tears:
