I love Neto as a player but his injury record sucks. You can bet good money on if we signed him, we would have a similar injury record to that of Jesus.
Vlahovic would be great imo and so would a winger, which is why I like the Williams/Frimpong links.
Zubimendi just seems like a sure thing with the amount of reporting on it. Not to say that the majority of the reporting is true but it keeps popping up, so perhaps there is something there. I think I would be happy with that but I’m going off clips and stuff like that. I think we’ve bought the biggest CM signings we could hope to make but if there was some way to get De Jong from Barca, I’d be all over that.
On Neto I think he’s too much of an injury risk and tbh not sure he’s got the desire needed to play mikel’s way.
Anyway I think with either a winger or a striker we can move a lot around up front:
New striker, Martinelli, Saka become the starters. Then got Jesus, Trossard and Kai to throw in across the front 3.
New winger then we’ve got Jesus still starting up front but more competition for the 2 wide spots with martinelli and Saka being kept honest by the new guy and Trossard.
I think a new CF is the bigger must, means Jesus becomes a rotation option for Saka/gab as well as for the CF spot. But I’d also obv be happy with a CF and winger if we can afford it all.
