Arsenal transfers 25/26

Both, thank you very much

Frenkie all day but I doubt we’ll ever be that lucky.

Pep will be all over that. He tried to sign him from Ajax.

After losing Rice to us he’ll do whatever it takes.

“Frenkie the Dong”

…jus sayin.

Rice, Frenkie, Odegaard would be a ridiculous midfield.

Possibly even better.

:ramsdale:

And I’m not joking.

Odegaard desperately needs another creative, skilled midfielder to support him. He’ll never reach anything near his potential until he has the proper support around him on a consistent basis.

His sorcery often goes to nothing because he simply has no one to properly connect with in the middle…

With a guy like De Jong, who was literally the best midfielder in the CL in his last Ajax season, a wonferful playmaker, master at pass and move football… Who’s also quite disciplined tactically (both him and Rice can play just as good as an 8 or as a 6; personally I see Frenkie as a DLP, with Rice as a "front defensive midfielder (as Vidal, Gattuso, Kante etc) , we would create one of the best midfields of the decade.

Frenkie would be very expensive given how much money Barca appears to still owe him - I assume it would be like an 80-100m fee and a 350-400k per week contract or something. Maybe we could swing that deal but its hard to see it happening unless we’re going cheaper (ie, Sesko) on a striker.

Crazy that they’re in the same poll and some have even put Zubimendi down as their preference. Those reasons surely can’t be on quality alone.

I think we have a lot of money in the bag consindering we haven’t been active in January…

Also now we’re firmly back in the CL. We will also make a few millions on sales (ESR, Ramsdale, Eddie, Vieira, Lokonga… I’ve surely forgot someone). I think you can count on at least 50M from sales in this summer, maybe even twice that depending on who goes.

We’ll have a massive budget this summer, possibly the biggest ever of all times.

Need agent Dennis on the case

:bergkamp2:

I’ll believe we shift all of those once they’re gone. We’re notoriously shite a getting rid of/selling is horrendous.

why not?
give him a fisting when he is here

Good points. A big summer could really put us over the top if we can get the striker and midfielder right.

A team like this would be amazing:

Osimhen/Vlahovic, Saka, Martinelli, Jesus, Trossard, Nelson (or a young new winger)

Rice, Odegaard, FDJ, Havertz, Jorginho, Vieira, Nwaneri/Patino.

Saliba, Gabriel, White, Timber, Zinchenko, Tomiyasu, Kiwior, Hato

Raya, new backup GK

It doesn’t seem that farfetched if we are selling Ramsdale, Eddie, Partey, ESR, Lokonga at the same time.

I was only naming POTENTIAL sales… No way we’ll sell all of those, but as said, I’d be quite surprised if we don’t land at least 50M on sales.

You could get someting close to that only for Rambo OR Eddie, and both are one foot out of the club and quite wanted (“sellable”) I assume.

four new players, which is possible.

the squad you name should be one of the best in the world.
Arsenal will be the powerhouse in the next few years for sure, if we really have this squad.

It is difficult to prove yourself with little game time, especially when it relates to ESR. I think all four should be moved in the Summer. Not playing so why waste time on them and salaries. Of course I am not a big fan of Arteta’s use of the squad. Tends to ride the same horses and this does not breed confidence in your bench players. I am sure they have other ambitions too like playing regular footie. Not a big fan of Vieira because of his size and the nature of the EPL. That’s just me. I want a Partey like in size and presence to couple with Rice. Actually 2 more central midfielders. Jorghino can be a bench player.

Agree with you on the midfield, a striker and someone to play the wings.

I think the main concern with Frenkie is how much more expensive that move would be.

Bigger fee and and significantly higher wages.

We’re almost a full 7 days after the Liverpool game and people are still talking about celebrations rather than the performance. Football talk is in the pits.

FDJ is great but his wages are astronomical. Something @Castiel revealed to me about 2 years ago
