Arsenal transfers 25/26

I think we may still be in the market for a striker

Was talking to a couple Spurs mates yesterday, saying about Kane maybe coming to us. They dont think he’ll leave, but just got a very sneaky small suspicion that something may happen there

Goes against everything Mikel has done so far to throw 100m down on kane, nevermind the fact they’d never sell to us. Not gonna happen.

Think any striker signing will be based on a good deal presenting itself, I’m not sure we’re actively hunting anymore attacking players.

You’ve got a sneaky suspicion that Arsenal might try to sign Kane ?

There’s zero chance Levy would sell Kane to us

We’re not signing anyone else without some sales first

No way we are signing Kane this season. Spurs would never sell. Only way we would ever get him, is if we signed him on a free next summer, assuming he doesn’t sign a new contract or he doesn’t move clubs this year. Even then, it seems very unlikely.

I think we have targets, but agree that some players need to leave first. The interesting one for me is Partey and what we are going to do in midfield.

But it would be worth it just to see Levy having to watch the best player they’ve had winning trophies with us. :grinning:

Its a crazy thought, but yes, I have a small feeling if he moves we could be a potential destination for him

The free option is definitely more of a likely scenario, for sure.

You’ve been playing too much football manager

£100m asking price for everyone else, but £200m for us.

Could see a slight chance as a free agent, but still highly unlikely

Still very unlikely, but I can’t see us signing a striker this summer. I think we will be looking for one next summer though.

For Kane, if he stays at Spurs and sees out his contract, it will depend on the options available next summer. City and Liverpool have no need for a new striker. Utd, Chelsea and Arsenal will likely be in the market. Assuming he doesn’t move abroad, he may fancy a free transfer next summer. Depends what club can offer him the best chance of silverware. I wouldn’t bet against a reunion with Pochettino at Chelsea, but equally, we may be his best bet of winning the league, so we could get another Sol Campbell moment!

If Kane ever leaves Spurs for an English club it’ll be one up North, I really can’t see him ever signing for another London club.

Depends what they can offer him…I can only really see Utd as a viable option for him up north. He does have a young (large) family, who I assume are settled in London…could be a similar situation to Rice and not wanting to move away from London.

Apart from being in London, I dont think they can offer anything a Manchester club can’t. City offer a better hope of trophies than either London club, both Manchester clubs have the finances to match or outdo either London club.

Of course, I can’t be certain, but I’m pretty sure. I think his bond with Spurs is too strong at this stage of his career to blow it up entirely by moving to Chelsea or Arsenal.

If I were to place a bet, it’d be on him staying at Spurs and not joining any English club, tbh.

With Haaland, City don’t need Kane. I agree that Utd is a natural fit for Kane, but all depends on next season. As it stands, I actually think Liverpool will finish ahead of Utd and think we will as well. If Utd were to fall outside the top four next season, maybe Kane would prefer a move to another London club, instead of staying at Spurs. If the guy has any ambition, he needs to leave Spurs either this summer, or when his contract expires.

I think we’re maybe diverging slightly, from talking about what clubs could hypothetically offer him, and where Kane would be willing to go, to the likelihood of them making a move for Kane.

Of course, with Haaland, City won’t be moving for Kane, but if he left it could be feasible, as City did at one point seem strongly interested.

If it came down to it, I think Kane would just stay at Spurs if the only options on the table were Chelsea and Arsenal.

It’s all hypothetical, which is why this forum is so great to debate these things. Will be interesting to see what he does and whether he can make a head over heart decision to move clubs.
