I agree, if he goes anywhere in the PL it will probably be Man U.
It’s unlikely Bayern will give spurs what they want so it’s more likely he’ll run down his contract and go there, or another top club, next season.
It means spurs are going to lose their best player, who has kept them top four so many seasons and get nothing to replace him, as well as being less attractive to potential players they want to buy.
Even if I would love him here as I think he can greatly compliment Martinelli and Saka like Jesus does, and probably add a bit more himself, it would be such a bad move for him.
Thinking beyond football, crossing the border like this may be ok for a foreigner that doesn’t have a deep connection to their club or our club. He’s arguably their best ever player, he’s their Thierry but he’s also an Englishman that came through their ranks.
He does this he will piss off an insane amount of people, and while Spurs don’t have anywhere near the following we do globally, it’s the following they have in London he should fear. He will pretty much fuck the rest of his life London.
If Kane goes to Arsenal, Spurs fans will literally burn his house down and very likely hurt his family. Football fans can be absolute nutters at times. For this reason alone, it won’t happen.
Even Sol himself has talked about how it affected his life then and still does today. He naively didn’t realize the magnitude of the move. Kane is a bigger Spurs legends than Sol so that will go down far worse imo.
If we did sign Kane, he could be the difference to us winning the title and him winning his first trophy, after wasting his career at spurs.
So that is the reason they won’t sell him to us.
It’s the equivalent of a massive club like Arsenal selling their best striker, say for instance RVP, to our biggest rival’s, say Man U, and them, say, winning the title because of his goals….oh wait.
20 plus for Xhaka is a good deal. I’d keep Norton Cuffy but it’s hard to see where he gets games. I’d keep Tierney and Balogun as well but both would get some decent money.
Arsenal’s business is not complete. They would like to bring Roméo Lavia in from Southampton to add youth, depth and drive to the reconfigured engine room but a £50m asking price looks rich. Even though Reiss Nelson has signed a new deal, quality cover for Saka remains a live issue. Up front, at least one of Folarin Balogun and Eddie Nketiah is likely to depart. Whoever stays must be good enough to keep Gabriel Jesus on his toes.

As is stands we have an ECL squad of 24 with 10 Home grown players.
All assuming Cedric/Holding/Pepe are off. Hein remains an U21 for the coming season so we don’t have to register him.
Futures of Partey and Tierney are very uncertain at the minute. Likes of Eddie and Balogun not solidified. Quite a few loanees that will also go. Dead certain we’ll bring one in at least, probably two given the exodus we’re set to see.
Knowing how the club operates, it wouldn’t shock me if Rice and Timber were our last signings for the summer.
They did it last year with Zinchenko.
I don’t think they want to make a habit of signing someone for the sake of it. I also don’t think they’re willing to let guys like Partey or even Tierney go for just about anything. Pre-season, sales, injuries or good opportunities popping up in the market could change a lot.
