City scored more goals in four of the last 5 seasons than they did last season despite now having a goal scoring freak anomaly upfront.
Having an elite CF goal scorer requires you to set up a certain way to feed them at the expense of others. It dosnt necessarily make your attack more productive vs having your goals spread across the team.
Personally I like the idea of having any one of 5 starting players be consistent goal scoring threats, makes our football quite exciting and varied.
5 players doing 15 goals & 10-15 assists each is miles better than having one player doing 30 goals, assisting very few and the other attackers being unable to contribute as everything must go though the #9.
Premier league season yeah. I CBAâd in my 10second research to check all comps and see if it made sense with the number of games played considering they won two finals this season.
Itâs a good point about having multiple sources of goals but tbh that isnât due to Haaland itâs personell
Haaland alongside peak Sterling and Sane in a trident would be raining goals the likes of which may not have been seen by the PL, Grealish as one of your wide men just isnât a goal getter and they barely played Alvarez who is more than capable of scoring plenty.
City as a team could be even more potent goal wise if they had out and out wingers in the attack.
