Arsenal transfers 25/26

Edu is desperately hoping his 20% off Bed, Bad and Beyond coupons are valid for player purchases in Turkey.

On my knees for a Raicedo summer.

The additional tactical flexibility we’d have would be insane. Big European away game or finally want to compete against Man City go with the below. A standard PL game bring Zinchenko or Jorginho in and go for maximum control.

Rice raises the ceiling of this midfield considerably and you’d be able to play him box to box similar to xhaka or as a pure 6. Caicedo is a dream player you could put in to almost any position and he’d do the job.

Well, that wouldnt be the formation for starters

It always seems so weird that we have agreed terms with the player without having a bid accepted by the club

Years ago that used to be called ā€˜tapping up’

I was thinking this yesterday when I saw those reports with United and Mason Mount. You weren’t even allowed to talk to the players.

Ashley Cole you cunt.

Really good shout this somewhat replicating the Man City system. Caicedo and Partey well versed in covering full back positions makes this viable.

It’s pretty much our current formation. Only with Caicedo inverting from RB full back instead of Zinchenko on the left side.

Well, its not really

We play differently with the ball and without the ball.
I would say we line up with that formation.

Players may moved into different positions yes, but that isnt our formation

What is our formation.

I think we play a 4 3 3 which can be a 4 5 1

But obviously we dont play that. The players move around into different positions with and without the ball.
Really we dont have a set formation, this new way of Mikel and Pep football means the surprise and confusion comes with players moving around into new positions so they cant be picked up, Zinchenko or White into midfield, Stones for City into central midfield, Even Xhaka moving out to the left flank from central midfield.
Its a bit all over the place but thats the key behind it working.

My only worry with switching the inversion to the right back is we’d then lose the overlap capability that white normally provides down the right while Zinky plays inside.

You could ask Gabriel to do it on the left but it’s not really his game.

But then one of the central guys fills that space on the right, Odegaard, Jesus or Xhaka/Rice maybe

Its gives the potential to confuse the opponents so much we create space and overloads when going forward

Just read your post again, yes it means that the LB would then get forward like White would usually do

What happens when Jesus overts into the trifecta zone and affects the mid-to-vertical orientation on the pitch? It would seriously impact the harmony of what a destroyer like Caicedo could do in a game.

All this talk of modern formations is confusing.

You knew where you stood with four four fucking two.

Get them wide midfielders whipping balls into a big bastard in the box!

Surprised that wasn’t that painted on the side of a bus during the Brexit campaign.

Absofuckinglutely

It’s been brought in from Pep. Who took it from Cruyff, who brings it from Michels and the Dutch total football approach.
Wannabe clever cunts on Twitter think they are delivering the Oracle.

He’s a good player and played well for us but I’m not sure where he really fits here. Another one like Kudus who is a midfielder but plays moreso as a forward at his respective club.

Perhaps I’m too picky as well, but my preference would be someone with a little bit more experience that can pretty much slot into the first team.
