It was not okay for us but maybe for them it was. Instead of settling for someone else when they didn’t get Vlahovic, they stuck to their plan and got Jesus even when they knew he’ll only be available in the summer. So they were willing to take the risk of losing CL football in the process, and clearly, had the backing of the board on that.
So while we might want us to get a couple of players in before the window closes, Edu & Mikel might only be willing to do that if they get exactly who they want. So it’s quite possible, they’ll do exactly what the did in January. But at least we aren’t desperately short now like we were then.
That’s the thing, Arsenal seem to always be the ones to pass it up when the chance opens.

Now - sign a CM and/or a winger and have an actual go at it.
I know the title is a pipe dream and we’re getting excited after 3 games but having seen the others so far, why the fuck shouldn’t we push on and try?
They’ve had stuff right before, usually when they use exclusives. Even those have been fairly wrong recently though. I think they got sniff of people putting stock into their exclusives so they ruined those too.
I think we’ve had a very good window as it is. There’s always one more deal you could do. A surprise before the deadline would be nice but I’m not going to stress over it.
