Yeah. No more tiers
If Arthur is the answer, we are asking the wrong questions. That signing would stink of s**t. No thank you.
Arthur something you could accept as a January loan stop gap, but as a permanent CM summer signing absolutely not what we should be about.
on if there are more signings to comeā¦
I donāt know. Itās what we have today. We have a large squad so we have to make some decisions as well on the players that weāre not going to be using consistently and be fair and straight with them and thatās a process that is going to start very soon as well.
on outgoingsā¦
We have to. We have a big squad and now we have to make things happen.
on versatility in new signingsā¦
Itās one of the things and the way we can adapt structures, formations and rotations within the squad and playing with the same players in a different way. To be more unpredictable is obviously important and that is why we have recruited those players.
Leno
Torreira
AMN
Nelson
Pepe
Bellerin
Tavares (Loan)
So these must be all the priority players to get rid? Wonder how many weāll be able to sell, other than Leno can see them all being loans ffs.
And the worst thing is that Leno, Torreira, Bellerin and AMN walk for nothing in 12 months.
If we donāt need these 4 at all in the squad I think we just have to accept whatever homeless poverty offers we get from other clubs.
Sucks but itās better than getting nothing and paying their wages to sit as 3rd / 4th choices.
I probably sell everybody minus AMN, at least his versatility could come in handy.
The rest we just need to fuck off, even if they are shitty loan deals. At least we save money on paying them each £2-7m for the next year.
a club offered £25m for AMN not too lon ago. Which we rejected.
Lol
Nah if memories correct we were holding out for 20-25m but were only offered like 15m from wolves. For some reason the amount we rejected gets inflated up with every passing bad game.
Still we wont get anything close to 15m now and his loan was disappointing so still a bad decision.
I stand corrected it was £20m
AMN is definitely worth keeping.
I doubt he is on high wages and, like you say, heās versatile which Arteta seems to like and he wonāt find a bigger club than us so if heās happy as a squad option we should keep him.
But Leno, Torreira, Nelson, Pepe, Bellerin, and Tavares are on around 500k a week between them and we could probably get over 50m in transfer fees for them.
It would be nice to keep Leno but he might not want to stay as cover for GK.
The article dosnt even say they bid that. Itās just speculating.
So if this was true why has nobody been back in.
I never quite bought this story tbh, but if it was true would of been better for all involved.
I do feel the window has stalled and I think thats mainly to do with us not being able to ship anybody out!
We have a number of players that we want to move on, and I dont think there will be any more incomings without some of those guys leaving first.
Not too long ago, 2 years ago mate. Whatever.
But if the deal was set to go through u til we pulled out last minute, then you have to assume we got the £20m we asked for.
Tbf, weāve just signed Zinchenko.
With all the rumours on here since the Jesus signing, the many players linked, you have to say our window has slowed.
Yep, Zinchenko has just come in but we dont know how long we have been working on that one.
I just have the feeling that we need to see players leave before any other big players come in.
Tbf, the club was working on Raphinha and Martinez before but failed to land them. For Martinez, they decided to instead turn their attention to Zinchenko. Most reporters are now suggesting weāre looking at a Raphinha alternative but we havenāt had a name leak yet. For a good reason considering how teams have been hijacking our deals.
As Arteta said there will be outgoings soon, but thatās only natural considering weāre nearing August. Thatās where dross like Torreira and Mari get more concrete interest and broke ass clubs lowball us with ātake it or leave itā offers.
Absolutely
Itās just a generic speculation article. Cant find anything which says wolves actually bid 20m from anywhere but plenty of articles saying we rejected a 15m bid.
But this is all semantics anyway point is we should have sold at the time.
