We don’t just beat them we control those fixtures.
In all 4 games against the big teams this season we’ve been the better team.
The progress is deeper than just the results.
We are like the troll under the bridge when it comes to playing Chelsea away
we’ve only conceded 11 goals in 13 games, very impressive
We conceded 5 in the United and Leicester games so we’ve got 6 goals conceded in the other 11 games. All of that just makes for really impressive reading.
That United game will haunt me because we were just so much better than them but moments of naivety cost us the game and inexperience.
Yeah it’s bloody infuriating they did us 3-1, fucking hate Old Trafford things rarely work out for us at that venue.
But in truth the performance was very encouraging for the most part as we’ve discussed, we looked the better side for large periods, I was only concerned the loss could have lingering complications but it didn’t.
I’m genuinely curious to see how we go up against Man City at this point, we’ve kind of dealt with all challengers coming our way this season, but that’s the ultimate test.
I also reckon if that Martinelli goal stands it’s a different outcome, which is also frustrating.
But 11-1-1 after 13 games you really can’t ask for much more than that.
And two in the Liverpool game as well. 4 goals conceded in the other 10 games.
And 1 against Fulham, so 3 goals in the other 9 games.
One against Southampton too, so 2 conceded in other 8 games.

Fucking hell Man City are ridiculous.
The goals from midfield is something we’ve been missing.
When both Graham and Wenger won the league title, the goals came from not just the recognised striker but from midfield as well.
With Graham five players that got into double figures and around the same for Wenger, which means if the striker isn’t scoring then there are still goals from other players.

It’s great goals are being shared through the team, however we need to be careful on relying on midfield goals. They tend to dry up quickly. Odegaard and Xhaka are on course for around 15goals+ at current rates which is very rare for midfielders and most likely unsustainable.
We definitely need our front three to step up more after the World Cup if we’re to actually go the distance.
