I’d like to see him in the Championship next year if we can find a good loan. I don’t see him being ready for a PL side.
I respectfully disagree with this tweet. He’s scored 9 career goals , mostly in Scotland, and has never played a game at a particularly high level.
A lot of us would be very concerned at dropping 60m on someone with that profile.

I would really like to see him get a loan somewhere next year. Not sure how much more he can learn at U21 level but pathways into first team minutes as a 6 are going to be really difficult, probably more so than for Nwaneri.
He won’t turn 18 until late September so there may be some special considerations involved but my understanding is that loans can still be arranged for players that age. Maybe a London-area Championship or League 1 club.
Maybe he doesnt need a loan…i mean Saka hit the 1st team around his age and some people thought that was a damn stupid decision,now look at him.
We were shit then though so playing Europa League and not treating every PL match like a must win.
I think it’ll be very hard for a player like MLS to break into the current team unless he gets a lot of experience with senior football elsewhere. Look how difficult it has been for players like ESR and Vieira to win Arteta’s trust.
