Arsenal - Nottingham Forest (PL) 2-1

don’t think Arteta will rush Jesus to play this game. In the end, it is just Forest.
either Tross or Kai will start as #9, Eddie as sub.

I think that this team doesn’t have “best 11” but fierce competion for place in the starting 11 and that is excellent, maybe Saliba, Ode, Saka and to some extent Rice are safe but everyone else got to fight for starting position.

Exactly.
When Arteta was at Man City, he saw how successful Guardiola was at making frequent changes and that’s why he’s built such a strong squad here.

There’s no point having so many top quality players if you’re not going to use them, especially playing in the CL.

I hope Arteta and all of us can get out of this “best 11” mindset. That’s not how you win titles any more.

I voted Forest.

Gibbs-Shite gonna go full Micky Thomas in this anomalous dog shit of an opening day fixture.

Are you talking about Micky Thomas as Wrexham !
What killer that was !!

That is seriously overlooking the laws of football. Turner is going to have the game of his life if he plays. That’s just how it works.

Leno and Emi were awful the last time we played them.

Bastards were great when we played them at the Emirates though.

Of course I meant Micky Quinn. A hat trick against us when playing for Coventry City.

I seem to recall it being an opening day fixture. 1992.

I’m crap at remembering names, dates etc.

P.S. thanks for reminding me of that upset too :sob:

Who is this wanker.

How did all these oxygen ho’s survive without Twitter giving them a platform to make them feel important

Which one? TNAT or the other guy?

All of them

Respect TNAT. Fuck the other guy though. Seems to be some FPL insider.

No

Heh. I thought you was referring to me and my Micky Quinn comments. :face_holding_back_tears:

That was 93/94 season.

Norwich tore us a new one on the opening day of the first Premier League season, 92/93.

I was at Higbury when Lee Dicko Dixon lobbed Seaman from the halfway line . We were smack bang behind the goal !
Now before a certain mod bans me for stereotyping ‘seaman’ , Seaman was The Arsenal goalkeeper, signed from Queens Park Rangers by George Graham for 1.3 million.
Sorry to state the obvious but it is what it is.
We literally got settled in the North Bank , all the greetings done , referee blew for kick off then wallop ! 1 down !
The result was terrible but Campbell’s goal was an absolute screamer .

I remember the OG.

Will have to look up the other goal.

It was a brilliant OG. You can’t deny that .
We were literally in the flight of the ball . Seamen ( not male fluids ) was literally stunned as was all of the North Bank
