Was well excited when we signed him after months earlier watching him perform for Russia at the euros. I probably went through my longest player clips marathon on YouTube.

While he didn’t go on to achieve what I thought he would, he still gave us some good memories :grin:

I think we wasted him. Signed him and played him as a winger. Should have been given the Ozil treatment from Wenger and played behind the striker or as a 10.

Instead his laziness was exposed because he just wasn’t an active winger. He would drift in and out of games but his quality was obvious.
