Get a bit fed up seeing his videos on tiktok, I mean heās so up himself itās beyond annoying, but I do like that heās not afraid to go against the grain and call out some of the bullshit we live with these days. I wish more people would and ideally people with more credibility.
The funniest bit though, is when people get interviewed about their opinion on him and they just say āI hate himā but then canāt answer the simple next question of āwhy?ā

Not a general perception. He has some really troubling views on women that I think donāt make him a good role model.
Is he right that young men face challenges in society? Absolutely. Isolation, feelings of rejection, confusion about where they fit in society, all that stuff is true. Heās right that those are problems. But I donāt think heās the right guy to dish out advice on how to help solve those problems. So yeah, good issue spotting but maybe leave the solutions to people who arenāt misogynist sex criminals.

Jordan Peterson had or has credibility in the field of psychology, in which heās an expert, and I guess self help, thatās it. Though Iād say his standing in the self help community has been somewhat diminished when he doles out advice that he evidently is incapable of following himself. Politically heās a bit of a joke and really should not be taken seriously at all. Anyone can agree with him politically, of course, but he isnāt any sort of expert.

Came across a few of Jordan Petersonās videos a while back and felt like the guy has mastered the art of talking a lot and saying very little.
I thought his book was pretty good. Sure, itās just his version of the 12 Step programme, but itās still an insightful read.
