I my defence, he wasn’t playing regularly for Lille.
I’ve given him his praise ever since he arrived at Everton though. Even said he should be the Belgian Chelsea signed, not Lavia.
Was quite keen on him last season. Less so now. Definitely a better squad option than Vieira though. If we can shift Vieira in January and El Nenny in the summer - Onana packs the squad out nicely.
A plus side might be that if we had Onana in midfield, we could get away with Jorginho starting. By that I mean Jorginho lacks physicality
Always looked impressive for Everton but it’s hard to tell if they were so awful that it was easy to stand out. Looks similarly leggy like Havertz to me.
Wasn’t keen but we are playing like such pussies at the moment that he might give the midfield a bit more but. El Nenny, Vieira and Nelson can leave to fund it.
Not elite enough for me…good player but would be expensive and there are better options for CM out there.
