I read someone say that Lacazettes been better than Chamakh, I’m not even sure that’s true, Chamakh came in and scored goals like crazy then RVP came back from injury and the rest was history.
I genuinely think you give Chamakh the time, patience and opportunities Lacazette had and he’s putting in better numbers. Especially during our shit cross the ball periods

I know I’m obviously bias but Chamakh gets an unfair wrap at Arsenal. There was absolutely nothing wrong with his form before RVP returned from injury. He was benched for a generational great player and then never hit the ground again.
His early form was good, he worked hard, he looked good in a Wenger system and he scored goals.

I feel the exact same way I really liked him and I think Wenger completely mismanaged him. He was an unbelievable asset in the air, imo even better than Giroud, it just seemed like for Wenger it was RVP or nothing, it didn’t seem like he even enjoyed using Chamakh as a plan B.
Like don’t get me wrong if you can start RVP you do it all day every day but I feel like he could facilitated Chamakh into more of a peripheral role from the bench.
Very unlucky time for the player to come to Arsenal, we outside his opening ten games where he was prolific we never really got to see what he was made off, due to this people just write him off as being shit.

It was what it was… not that I did not want better players but we just did not have better ones.
The ones I mentioned, we did not win much at those times (except FA Cups) but at least we scored some breath taking goals and had moments to get excited for…

Feel like we could have got a lot more out of Poldi, not world class but a very useful and unique player. Didn’t suit Wenger at all. Another one you kind of wonder why Wenger bought him in the first place.
