You cant polish a turd
He’s crap. Get rid.
That is probably the intention.
Albert Sambi Alonso :wenger2:
Locked onga
Wasn’t that great, basically just typcial, old school lokongball tactics
We will all appreciate him a lot more if he performs well at Luton and clubs start a bidding war for him in the summer…would be a good boost to the transfer kitty and help with us buying Zubimendi.
Strangely they seem to be doing pretty good since he got back from the injury
Fair play, that was a top class performance against Utd.
Brought me back to when he faced them with us at OT and he got schooled. Complete 180.
He might’ve the best player on the park today. He was everywhere. I’ve never seen him being so active and alert.
Okay game still a shit player tho
Hopefully this raises his transfer value in the summer.
What is it that I am not able to spot in Lokonga that professionals are able to?
Granted I didn’t watch Luton matches
Me when Sambi as the last man stopped Garnacho, then sat him down, and started another attack for Luton, all while looking like he was on a beach in Maldives:
Was in the same boat. People know I’ve shat on him countless times and wanted him gone 12 months into his time here.
If you watched that match against Man Utd, you wouldn’t believe that’s the same guy we had.
It genuinely didn’t make sense.
Perhaps that was a one-off but the dude was the best player on the park by a mile.
If he can keep this up he certainly deserves another look in the summer.
He has all the physical and technical attributes you want in a midfielder.
It just seems he doesn’t have the right personality / attitude, and that’s why he hasn’t thrived under Arteta. Or perhaps he hasn’t been able to master the tactical requirements of playing in an Arsenal midfield. Something just didn’t click between manager and player, who knows why.
All we can hope for is a couple more good months at Luton and a £10m+ fee in the summer.
I was listening to BBC 5 Live the other day and there was a chap talking about how Lokonga has been the best player at the club basically since coming into the team.
Did he have any sort of urgency in his game against United or was he strolling around?
