The game was a lot better in the 90s, I felt.
Of course, it’s always a personal preference, but when a team has a cracking passage of play, it’s likened to Brazil in 1970. To put that into context, that was over 50 years ago. We haven’t seen anyone come close (and I include Pep’s Barcelona of the late noughties).

I did enjoy the 00’s (When I started) even with the explosion of money. (and being on the old OA) My perspective quickly changed though with the original youth project. It hurt seeing all those players I liked bounce from the club. First lesson to me that loyalty in football was a dead concept. That’s probably why I don’t reminisce about that era much. I’m bitter about it.
Man City were just some random club Joey Barton played for. I liked it better that way too than cheaters being rewarded.
