Commentators were reporting this incident live during the game.
With all due respect, commentators weren’t sitting in the crowd, amongst the Arsenal fans.
My point is it’s not just AFTV.
I don’t think it is that unbelievable that some section of fans would have indeed indulged in some sarcastic cheering once your team is down to 10 men, conceding 4th goal against the champions at opponents’ home.
Nothing story really.

AFTV provides good connectivity between the global fanbase and local fanbase. In that respect I still think it has value. For example, fighting against the attempted ESL breakaway which had an assumption within its thinking that local fanbases for the big clubs were becoming irrelevant, and that the oligarchical ownership and big banks financing the effort could do whatever they wanted regardless of how the local traditional fanbase felt. We have to fight back against that, to preserve the identity of our clubs and what makes football special, and I think AFTV has its place for that.

Good point. I think some of the opposition to fan channels like AFTV comes from a place of embarrassment at the personalities on display. They can be cringe educing or obnoxious, yes. But are they as harmful as the corporate PR machines willing to lie directly to our face?
Fan channels are a natural reaction to the corporate bullshit they constantly try to feed us.

Not being as harmful as something else isn’t really a defence. Oh he punched you, but he didn’t kill you so it’s fine.
You were right with the other thing you said; it’s the personalities on display that are the problem. I have no issue with fan TV channels in general. But our one seems to have a few characters that are absolute knobheads, hence why it is so popular with opposing fans. They have also been known to lie and stir up trouble that just isn’t there, hence the above posts. So if this is true:
Then we should see our global fan base numbers go down pretty rapidly.

Here’s what I don’t understand. The fans that come on the channel have not changed because they’re on AFTV. That’s just who they are. Just because we didn’t see them before AFTV doesn’t mean they didn’t exist. So while they maybe today’s football fans, that has nothing to do with AFTV IMO.
Just like OA then? 
But seriously, all fan bases have some obnoxious, irritating characters. Surely, you don’t think it’s something unique to us. And to be fair to AFTV, there are plenty of decent folks on there as well, folks that talk the same things that we discuss here on OA. And Robbie goes out of his way to bring in new fans each game and get their opinions.
I know AFTV is not everyone’s cup of tea but you can’t blame them for some of the people that come on the channel. Those people are Arsenal fans, like you and me, whether or not we like them.
