AFTV

A modern club will always sell out their fans. AFTV was fans betraying fans, simply sinister and broken. Giving fans a platform was an amazing concept. Giving caricatures a voice week in week out only lessened the influence the everyday fan had on the club.

Their regulars are either dead now or have carved out their own shitty persona but never once have I watched that shit show and empathised with another Arsenal fan just wanting the best for the club.

The best way to stop AFTV, is to play good football.

However, our club just keep feeding them

You’re right in the assumption that playing negatively is prosperous for AFTV but that doesn’t necessarily mean they should be as exploitative as they are. I’ve watched Northern Ireland my entire life, my entire life we rarely do well. I’d hate to come out of Windsor Park and see Ulster Loyalist Ty in full Queens armour talking about what should be.

Arsenal as a club and a business are completely disassociated with the fans. I don’t know how you rectify that but I know that the parasitic and parasocial structures of AFTV are weakening the fan’s voice, not strengthening it.

Yeah it is just easy to dismiss AFTV interviews as bunch of crazy muppets.
It should be a platform where non click baity fans vould make their points as well.

To be fair recently they are interviewing more and more standard fans and trying to move away from the regulars who at this point are just caricatures of them selves.

I’ve seen away fans voice their disgust at Arsenal Fan TV. They have a point, to be honest.

It led to a visible shift between fans who wanted to be on telly and fans who were there to support the team. I sometimes fear you can’t have both.

NOW the honeymoon period is over? It was over last season when Villa slapped us 3-0. Arsenal fans patience is admirable.

That’s why I don’t understand why people are taking piss at AFTV in every way.
In fact, some of them are really patient and forgiving than most of us here and, still not admitting that Arteta is not the man for the job.

We had been screaming for Arteta out for 3/4 year already.

Jesus it certainly feels that way.

I hope this catches on.

Go to the game, watch it, analyse it but don’t go on social media/TV in the immediate aftermath. They’re all just reactionary thoughts.

I still don’t really get the issue with ArsenalFanTV tbh, if the club started delivering then it would be a non issue imo.

Would be nice to have some sort of fan representation that wasn’t cringe as fuck, win or lose. I actually quite like the dude Robbie and I’ve always said the idea of AFTV is brilliant it’s really just the Jeremy Kyle-esque application that’s dogshit and embarrassing.

Gotta admit I’ve been a regular viewer of AFTV from the beginning when Robbie was uploading one video a month way back when. I just ignore some of the annoying personalities like Kalechi, DT, Ty etc. There are really good cast members like Turkish and Graham who both give great analysis.
