Aaron Ramsey

And you think a 30yo Aaron Ramsey is going to provide that?

Ok.

Haven’t at any point said I’d have him back.

I think they all compliment each other. Partey has the close control, pace and intelligent passing. Xhaka has the range of passes, as does Ramsey. Ramsey has the engine, movement, creativity and goal scoring

Been back in OA for almost 2.5 years and I still can’t believe how disliked Ramsey is by many here.

Old OA was wild man…

Ramsey definitely does not have the creativity to compliment those two. That is my main issue with him. He is made something that he clearly is not. All creativity in that scenario comes from Partey. Ramsey and Partey both have the engine to compliment Xhaka’s lack thereof, sure. In that case though Ramsey has to work, which he didn’t do his past 4 seasons or so here.

Rejected, by this club? Think you’re mistaken.

Was referring to Real Madrid and Juve

Ah, fair enough :slightly_smiling_face:

He’d be a good fit for spurs in midfield as they desperately lack a midfielder that’s capable of scoring goals.

I like Ramsey and think he’s quality, the reason why I wouldn’t want him back are age profile and those soft tissue injuries, not a good mix on those wages.

Ramsey was a good signing but Wenger wasn’t able to coach like he did at Highbury.
Another one with faults that where allowed too become part of his game and not ironed out.
Scored some great goals and likeable but never reached full potential.

Would of made the CL comfortably in Emery’s first season, but he decided to not play him for half of it only to realise how much he’d fucked it in the second half of the season.

The lack of discipline was definitely a thing for a brief period, but when you have a weapon from midfield like Ramsey, you find ways to make it work as both Emery did in the only good patch of football we played under him (Ramsey at the heart of it up until overplaying him in the Napoli return leg) and Wenger (transforming to 3-4-3 for the late 16-17 run to have the defensive cover to compensate for the runs from midfield.

Not really interested in Ramsey for Arsenal right now though. It’s rebuild time and we need to be thinking of long term acquisitions.

And then injured him by playing him in the return leg in Naples when he wasn’t 100% fit, resulting in ending his season and finishing us off.

I either want top quality coming into the club or young potential. He’s neither. He might bring a few goals from midfield but I would much rather persist with ESR and help him develop that side of his game.

Dodged a fucking bullet not signing this dood. Was happy when he left such a waster, overrated af and always injured. Hope spurs do get him he’d be fucking shit there.

You’d still rather Ramsey on 200k than Willian though :eye:

Well, one is just shit the other wouldn’t be available to play cuz he’d have an injury. So I dunno, at least Willian can spell Saka and keep him fresh. I’d rather have neither on 200k tbh lol

I’d rather get rid of the incompetent Brazilian than replace him with a player that really only did it in one season. We had Ramsey for long enough and for the most part, he was nothing special and by special I mean Saka, Tierney special.

Not sure where the rumour originates from so I can’t attest to its reliability.

I completely agree with the guys who don’t want Ramsey due to his injury history, age and wage. But I’m here to tell you, I don’t care.

Ramsey’s such a Wenger player and I miss that forward-thinking risk-taking play, with sprinkles of flair.
